Why are there so many gravestones outside thier dorm?
Instead of exporting them to a cemetary, I kept them so I could watch the ghosts scare the college students. (exporting the graves also exports the person's ghost).

I've even had a few die from fright.

What fun.

so I was going along as the Soviets in CORE and ended up allying the Republicans. once Vichy DOWed the Allies and joined the axis I thought it was done for from invading Germans. Little did I realize that the Spanish aren't taken down that easily.

Looks to be going a bit better than my own game as Republican Spain along similar lines ...

The Germans ended up pushing the spanish back to the mountains but they never had a boot on spanish soil. After The tides had turned against the germans, they pushed back and almost took down all of Vichy, which is left to Corsica and Nice.

My sentries didn't get the most kills ever, but I like to think I was credit to team with my teleports and dispenser healing. :D

Fear me

A large part of that was me :p

Or, evidently, their complete inability to kill squishy spies.

Nice spy action.

Quite possibly my last HoI2 game for a while, as Romania, which featured a rather brilliant Barbarrosa.

Spoiler :
Germany declares war on June 22nd, not tempting fate at all there...

Our greatest extent, two years later. Romanian troops provide the backbone of the southern front, but by this point Soviet quality (and quantity) are beginning to be felt.

After a final year of determined advance, in which the Axis reached Stalingrad, Moscow and even held Leningrad for a while, the Soviets manage to secure the front and begin to push us back to the starting lines.

Berlin falls! By this point Romania is the strongest member of the Axis, which really doesn't bode well.

And a mere two weeks before we finally surrender. A good game :D

At this point the game crashes, reminding me that this is a Paradox game after all. Hearts of Iron 3 shall be downloaded tonight - who knows what bugs it shall hold, how many crashes I shall suffer, what crazy escapades the AI shall get up to before the patching process begins?

I really like the look of HoI games, but they are far too complicated for my to start playing. Shame - they look very rewarding to play.

Kan, surely such words will put fear into the followers of your British AAR? ;-)

Salty,

They're not 'that' complicated, I would think Civ4 to be more complicated than HoI2.

I'd say buy it, you'll get it really cheap probably in part of a 'classic' range of PC games and pick one of the big nations and see how it feels, you can change the difficulty to give it a simpler learning curve, and of course, there's always the AAR's to read for helpful hints (not to mention the HoI2 tips and tricks thread I'm sure is about somewhere)

That's not a game, that's a career.

start charging admission.

Or go old school and start taking money for commissions. First Lord of the Admiralty, that should be good for a few quid

I see your HOI2 and I give you this. Unmodded, Vanilla HOI2, played as Switzerland entire game with AI Difficulty and Agressiveness at max. No idea what the hell happened.

Japan? They're doing meh-ish.
