How on earth did I do this? (NOTE: Only two lives were engie and with extremely minimal sentry use, most of it was FAN scout)

Another thing to note is I didn't die during this (~6) minute round.

THEEVERGOD and I playing The Scourge Project. We got most of the way through Episode 1 before getting stuck at a spot with waves of enemies, now we just need the other two people we know with the game to reinstall because the AI is only good for one thing, picking us back up after we lose all our health.

The strange shimmering effect in the air is some kind of shield I can throw up. Doesn't stop all the bullets though.

Rich Colony cruises to victory 2.5 lengths ahead of World Colony in the first of five races in World Super Jockey Series. Of those five races, I won four. :goodjob:

It's one of my favourite ship classes from the series. I've been looking forward to getting one since starting the game.

Also, just look at her

Is the game good at incorporating all the various ships seen in the shows, movies, and other games? (Well, I doubt they have some of the ships from Armada 2...like the Federation would actually have transports for space marines.)

Shows and movies, yes. Games are a bit all over the place, really, I don't think they could keep track of it.

No Steamrunner class, though :(

Edit: As something more useful: The game is decent. It's happy to take Star Trek lore from all the series and utilise it in its own way, and it's not afraid to forge its own path in Star Trek history. It's just really repetitive. As in you will not feel the difference assaulting a ground base guarded by Klingons at level 5 than you will attacking a Romulan outpost at level 25. I know that's similar to a lot of MMO's, but I really felt it with this one. All I wanted was my Galaxy, and now I've got her I don't know if I care to carry on.

So really, if you're a big fan of Star Trek then get it, if not, only buy it if you're interested in MMO's.

I thought that was introduced in Armada 1, but I'm fairly sure it's been seen in a Dominion War DS9 screencap or two. Maybe the game designers only made the artillery-ship association from Armada and dismissed it for being too specialized.

It was in First Contact! It went 'pew pew pew' and everything!'

So THAT'S how you fly a helicopter.

In 2028, Pleasantview was shaken by both an earthquake and an alien assault. The effects of the earthquake were largely confined to the community of Franklin, which was heartened by the fact that its signature clock tower withstood the calamity. Though no power plants were disturbed by either disaster, the city government began to phase out its nuclear energy in favor of microwave plants.

AGH! I HATE WHIRLPOOLS! I just REBUILT that bridge from the earthquake!

Pleasantview in 2050
Population: 529, 509.
Funds: $3,768,580
Yearly income: +$120,000

20503.jpg

With the arrival of fusion plants and the spaceport, the game's 'tech tree' is fully realized. There are, alas, no more new buildings in store for me and so I will probably leave Pleasantview in search of younger cities.

205010.jpg

Pleasantview is economically powerful and regarded as the region's healthiest and best place to live, despite its problems. No neighborhood lacks its own parks, schools, and libraries. Crime is a persistent problem, and has haunted the city ever since it legalized gambling. Distressingly, the problem has not been remedied by strengthening the police force: complaints of police abuse are common. Although gambling is much of the problem, crime is most severe around the airports. A sharp decline in overall power results from rapid population expansion within the last few years, as the sitting mayor pushed for a population of over 500,000.

20504.jpg

Known as the old town, Ward 1, Precinct 1, City Center, or just "the isle", this is the oldest portion of Pleasantview. Once upon a time there were naught but small factories and run-down homes here, but the 15 decades which have passed since then have been kind. Traffic on the bridges exiting the island used to be nightmarish, but the city finally managed to bridge the river with two subway systems which connect to the entire city's subway grid.

20505q.jpg

In the center: the University district. Across the river, mixed-density residential and commercial neighborhoods, with a scattering of high-tech firms and the Carl Sagan Science Center.

20506.jpg

The oldest area in town: City Center and the Industrial Sector.

20507.jpg

High-tech firms, the airports, and the military base.

20508.jpg

The other side of the river, during a THUNDERSTORM. Lightening flicked from the clouds, and one is depositing what appears to be rain. There are some interesting neighborhoods here: luxurious villas on the hillside ranges at the top, and neighborhoods whose names escape me near the bottom. You can see Franklin, though.

20509.jpg

The overwhelming majority of the city's residential and commercial areas. What's left out are the industries, airports, power plants, and incinerators.

More Scourge Project with THEEVERGOD. Game has a few glitches...

Spoiler :

Y7pIM.jpg

This followed one of the worst levels ever where we had to fight throguh a chamber filled with gas. Both the bots and I kept dying every 5-10 seconds while THEVERGOD couldn't shoot but was somehow immune to damage so he spent the entire level reviving us and hacking control panels. I was STILL dying in the freaking elevator from the "gas" even though it was all gone!

XloDH.jpg

We had to completely redo this section because the door glitched and wouldn't let us through.

"Hmm, I wonder what we should aim at, surely not the big reg glowing engines?"

KABOOM

S0o6L.jpg

Soon after this picture I got a sweet sniper rifle, but then was too busy running away from giant bug things trying to find the exit (that opened up a minute after the game said it was open) to take pictures.

S1r73.jpg

Oh yeah baby.

So I looked it up, it's currently 75% off and only $2.50 but the low price and then oh, shock, 44 from Metacritic, make me wonder... is it worth the download? :P

Only if you have 1-3 (more the better) fun friends/people to play it with. The AI is ********, although it won't get stuck as it can teleport to you if necessary, is a good medic, and can throw grenades (rare, but it worked!). But still thick as a brick (this goes for the enemies too). Also I constantly had to rehost at the end of "chapters" in the game. I bought it last December.

The guns and co-op are nice though and it would make a great drunken co-op game (it also has LAN).

The first time I've ever unlocked the marina! :D

One time when my friends and I were messing around with SC4, we managed to lose the game. I now decided to replicate it:

Apparently it's game over when you go below -100,000 Simoleans.
