In my current EU3 game my first king is in the 63rd year of reigning!! And he got from 2 provinces to 86!! :D Screenshot coming soon (I'm loading the game right now to post the screenie).

I think the game is beginning to get too boring. I want to kick the Ottomans out of Europe, conquer Muscovy and finally get Southern Italy from Aragon... For that I might need to conquer southern France, but I'll see... Then I want to expand my colonies and kick Castille's butt in North America, and maybe I will move on the Turkics in Central Asia... I'll see. I can do basically anything now but it's too much work to get it done as fast as I would want it.

Edit: yeah, took the screenshots, waiting for them to upload... they are quite big!

Especially of Besarab II, only 1 king did all that. :D

(actually this is my second game ever, the first one was with Austria but it got way too boring after I unified Germany in less than 25 years)

I'll be sure to destroy Wallachia when I eventually get my hands on EUIII.

Or maybe ally. One way or the other.

Don't worry, normally they get half-eaten by either the Ottomans or the Hungarians, and end up as vassals of someone. :) So unless you start right near it, you probably won't have to deal with it until very late, and then they will be so weak that they really won't stand a chance at all. In fact, I started only with 14 ducats, 2 crappy provinces with crappy units and infrastructure, 1000 men in the army and being a vassal of the Ottomans. But now I have something like 550k men in the army and an additional almost 100k manpower I can mobilize, almost 50k ducats and am planning on destroying those Ottos. :p

This Europa Universalis thingy. I`ve seen lots of screens, but never of units. It doesn`t have units? :(

It does. See those little rectangular icons with the coat of arms of each country (mine has an eagle with a cross on a mauve background)? Those are the units, but the graphics only appear when you zoom in. This is the most zoomed out view possible. :) Naval units have bigger rectangles, and land units have smaller ones. Air units don't exist since the game ends in 1791.

But I do admit the unit graphics could use some improvement. Most look the same and stand in one place facing you unless they are in a battle in which they make strange moves forward. They do look different for different cultures and times... but that's about it. :)

Lustful trait at age 5. Going to be greedy and produce lots of heirs later on in life!

The bright yellow is mine (the dark yellow in Spain is my capital, I had the province highlighted). Ending this game and starting afresh. With an improvement pack, bloody duchies kept swearing loyalty to me, no way I'm going to have a flung out empire!

Thats Crusader Kings. It comes right before the EU2 in the Paradox timeline.

The second shot is zommed all the way out, but yes, every province has a count title attached and it's own coat of arms (though if you give someone multiple titiles, they will use only the first coat of arms or the highest ranknig CoA).

In my game as Venice the Ottoman Empire got lucky and have completely crushed any European nation that they have gone up against, even Austria.

1. I was in the edior, and I decided to have fun with explosions. :D

2. The Game is Faces of War. It's like Company of Heroes, except you get the Russians, and you can take direct control of a unit. (You can also kill yourself by running a Crusader Anti Air through a line of Tigers)

I discovered that it's possible to land on/inside the Nilanth's (Spelling?) in Half-Life head before you destroy the orange crystals. As the head pieces aren't solid and there's a pillar in the center. The brain stuff is added later.

Screeny will come in several hours when I get back home.

Mines is not a stratagy nor FPS game. But here is a Train Simulation game that I play from time to time (As well as repaint some locomotives into my fictional railroad company)
