Second Orbis succession game

uppps

sorry

I forgot :(

Turn 326: I noticed that Basium is evil - sweet :)
T. 328: Basium converts to RoK
T. 332 Great Sage found in a haunted ruins
T. 335. Decius gave us Architecture. Basium converts to Council of Essus

I started another war with Furia/Kshet. I think we should go for conquest, and I think we will manage to win

played 10 turns.
destroyed several Balseraph cities.
building forts to prevent city respawing.

not sure whether we can win, we'll send the AC counter through the roof if we keep razing cities.

Khset is using Gurid. Not sure yet on how to kill it.

You are casting sanctify afterwards. Correct?

I played a few turns. Highlights include:

I made a detour in our research to discover sorcery. Largely hoping for guild of the nine and a tower victory. We did raze a couple of Balseraph cities. Then Furia was freed from her service to Khset. She immediately joined Decius as a vassal and the war was over. I restarted the war, since we are/were trying for a conquest victory. Our southern army stumbled into a bunch of angels and got wiped out. We built more forts in hopes of possessing even more mana nodes. Right now we have enough to go for a tower victory. I believe that this would be much easier than conquest. Three of our priests are mucking around exploring in the northwest. They killed a heavily damaged Gurid. Then came upon one of Thessalonica's rangers setting on top of a lair. The next turn there was a wraith on top of the lair. It attacked our priests and they destroyed it. A fair number of angel types are advancing into our territory. I don't see them as much of a threat and advise continuing to produce boar riders, giving them as many flanking promotions as possible. I also advise peace at the nearest opportunity and pursuing a tower victory. We also have a great engineer now. Also during this time the AC reached 30 and blight hit, which will slow down our great people for a bit. Just one more thing. Our main army is very close to Basium land now. Perhaps we might want to use them to wipe him out for good?

I will try to kill him soon

Ok

I played some turns, but I am unable/unwilling to play more for now...

We have been beaten badly by combined forces of Calabim assassins/rangers and Mercurian Heralds. Maros has died. What's worse. more than 5 our units went to serve Mercurians in afterlife (Maros among them).
Our city is dying from hunger. For now, I have putted maximum possible number of people to act as a scientists - the city is shrinking by 1 every turn anyway. But next persno playing should remember to change it soon.
If we want to win a Tower victory, we need a great scientist (he can found circle of eight; we need their special unit). Conquest... would be hard

I started to play. one of my fist move was to lose Bambur on a >99% figth.

btw, he went to serve the mercurians...

I think we'll survive, but the fuure doesn't look brigth.

Well, I should play but am not that motivated.

I'll post late tonight, and keep playing as long as someone else feels like having it going.

we can also retire in shame, and start a new one.

I certainly don't see any point in continuing. It's not a shame to lose. We made some rather poor decisions and had to suffer the consequences. Oh well. Live and learn.

ok

I think that we still have a theoretical chance to win... but it would be long struggle, and probably we will lost anyway. (we can go for altar for example. and try to survive for the next hundreds of turns)

I believe that playing it further would not be so fun, so I agree that it is time to surrender
