By the time Aksum was done rioting, and training a division of scouts, a Great Prophet named
Jesus Shankara was born in Thebes. Because no Egyptian cities have founded any religions,
Jesus Shankara settled down in Thebes, bringing in businesses who have been told a great person has settled there, causing the economy to boom. With this new source of income, Ramesses was able to up the scientific output to 90%, and was still gaining money. Slow growth, but it was growth indeed.
Rome was also advancing and almost as good and better than Egypt. Egypt was only barely ahead, and this was worrying Ramesses. Ramesses wanted Egypt to be the pinnacle of the world, and so with his panic, he switched over to training settlers in Giza so he could build another city and stay on top. Also, the people of Thebes had started to train settlers to
on accident of Ramesses and could not switch back to building an aqueduct, so a new granary was being built.
There has been talk among the locals of Abydos of the Waters of Life in an oasis near the city, and has been a large demand for this water all over Egypt. It is dubious whether it is true, but no one had any intention to actually find out if it is real or not. Either way, this gift of the water and desert was a boost to both Abydos's and Egypt's economy.
Also, not too later on, everyone had changed their state religion to Christianity, and Ramesses, fearing since Hammurabi was furious, he would declare war, changed Egypt's state religion to Christianity. And with a shared state religion with the known civilizations, everyone was happy with Egypt, except Babylon. Babylon was still annoyed, but Egypt could deal with them later.
Later on, Hammurabi demanded Egypt teach the Babylonians how to cast their metal for a better military. Ramesses, believing teaching them this could help heal the rift between the two nations, agreed.
Give me some more time to finish this, my game crashed and now I have to redo all of this. Another post coming soon with the rest of the story and a SC decision.
