SGOTM 11 Maintenance Thread

Team Klarius needs no insight on the future, we all know they'll have a railnet up before reaching the middle ages and there will be airfields to lift their swordsmen to the other continents within a few turns of that :p

When does the QSC chart work? Is it after every team reaches 1000BC?

(a) when every team passes 1000 BC and (b) when I get a round tuit. :mischief:

Sure looks like it, I'm having a hard time getting a response when I bump for the roster and I'm over my head in assignments right now myself.

Is that team of Godzilla again going to be the team that is holding us up again?
They're not the only ones. We gave the game to Sleepy Smurkz and haven't seen it for a few weeks.

And besides, it takes lots of deliberation to win this thing.:p

Is this a particularly challenging game? Or is everyone sudddenly very busy in RL?

We've had 88 file uploads since we began four weeks ago, and 40 of those were in the first week. That means you're operating at an average four to five days per turn set  In a month, one or two teams haven't even made it to 1000 BC. Half of the players have only played one set, most of the rest have only played two, and some haven't played any.

We could be here until Christmas at this rate, and I seriously doubt that your momentum will be sustained until then, even at this level, so it's a vicious circle as players forget where the game is going, and the pace slows even further.

At least we won't need to get a new game together for several months, so I guess I shouldn't worry ... but I do. If you want this game to finish, and the competition to continue, I suggest you consider putting a little more effort into it :D :whipped:

Hmm, I didn't think it was that bad, but now that you mention it...

:salute: Time for the Smurkz to pick up speed! :whipped:

Don't worry, we will race you to the "being whipped" team spot again before long. I believe we lead the pack in the number of players who haven't played nor spoken much so far, too ;)

Seriously, hopefully, we'll pick up speed within 2 weeks.

Our problem certainly isn't lack of participation, after all we have almost three times as many posts as you do. ;)

Unfortunately, RL issues have impacted Civ time of late for nearly everyone on the team.

But we're almost rested and ready for a spurt. :mischief: :p

@AlanH: Yeah - RL has affected our team horribly. Whomp has taken to posting mid-set saves just to pad our upload stats. :p

Sleep is for the weak. Play Civ. Game on! :hammer:

Psycho Bunnies are the least of my worries. You're the only team in the AD's and you are padding everyone's upload stats.

Well I don't know how fast previous SGs have gone, but maybe it's just the time of year... lots of people grabbing a week or two of holiday before Autumn settles in (Northern hemisphere specific of course).
Or maybe we are deliberately lagging so we find out, from the leading teams, when we should be gaining territory, changing governments etc ;)

Are you saying the Bunnies should delibarately slow down? :hmm:

OK Psycho Bunnies we need army #7.

I've now added the QSC stats.

Godzilla seem to have missed out 1000 BC, so they aren't included.

A shame, I should have saved at QSC. Now I've started one game on my own in the last 20 months or so and it was the week after my last set - didn't even make it to 1500BC either. Terrible of me, sorry. I don't suppose the evil 975BC save would do eh?

Your 975 BC data wouldn't be directly comparable, unless that turn was incredibly boring.
