It's a bit awkward. Going into Buddhism will cause diplo headaches. Kublai trades at Annoyed, but not Napoleon. Tokugawa will no doubt switch into Hinduism soon.

OTOH, I don't think Hinduism is going to spread to us. Kublai is at the opposite end of the map, and Buddhism is going to spread naturally soon.
 
Trading with Nappy 1st to unlock Lit looks good as he won't trade with other know AIs.

Cease fire this turn with Asoka and gift him Alpha. Next turn. trade Aes to him for IW+PH? or PH + Mono, and in the same time trade Aes to KK for IW?
 
You're right, though, about the timing of a revolt. I would be happy to switch, unless you all want to meet the other AI. But I think we will need to wait a long time to see any other missionaries.

Also, religion penalties with Kublai and Napoleon are almost non-existent: –2 for Kublai, due to the holy city, and –1 with Napoleon.

Since KK is the tech leader, we could try to leave him out of the initial trades.

The trades he offer seem to indicate that he isn't researching Aesthetics or Currency. If he offers one less tech for Currency on T63, we'll react accordingly.

Yes, I would not worry about those AIs altitude because of religion difference. We won't be able to be friendly with them, so being cautious with them should be enough.
 
We have 178 :gold: . 100% slider leads to -28GPT and +51BPT.

With Gold, an extra city, and trade routes in Golden Sands, Literature in 5 turns (= 6/7 with religious/civic switches) might be achievable.

The AI trading us Mathematics will likely be the determining factor of the build date.

Regardless, settle and work the Corn. Use the Worker 2W of the Cow to start a Pasture.

On T63, bring the Worker 2S1W of the Cow and use him to complete the Pasture.

If the city has 12F, and works an improved Corn, it can grow in two turns. Assuming that we switch into a religion, this will go:

T62: Corn (revolt)
T63: Corn
T64: Cow (3F). 1 Worker moves, chops the Forest, and cancels.
T65: Cow (6F). 1 Worker to Corn, other pre-chops and cancels.
T66: Cow (9F). 2 Workers improve Corn (3/5).
T67: Corn (12F). Corn improved.

This suggests only two Workers are needed.

I haven't tested, but it would not surprise me to learn that this city should grow to size 3 and then whip a Granary. This means that, following the whip, the city is still working its two resource tiles.

A Granary would boost the Corn @ size 1 to a 10F tile. Staying at size 2 without a Granary means that we work 6F 3H.

Either way, it is easy to chop/whip the Granary with the roaded Forest tile.

I think we should use this one Worker to pre-chop the Forests that have roads on them. It is too soon to move this guy onto an unroaded Forest, and CD already has a few improved tiles that it is not working.

When we are four turns away from researching Literature, he can move onto an unroaded tile that is difficult for other, more distant Workers to reach. It is not worth building roads on new Forests.

Jus a quick comment before going to work: I think Duckweed has given pretty strong arguments for building TGL/NE in cap rather than in Constantinople.

How about building the Parth in there (Const.)? :dunno:

I think doshin only need 1 day break. If so, it's better that he play until completing TGL.

One thing to be considered is to prepare to resume the war with Asoka again. We can DOW anytime after the trade from next turn. The determinative factors are to gather enough healthy axes and how's Asoka's wandering archers move next.
