SGOTM 19 - Also Sprach Sid

I'm pretty sure this will be a net loss. Constantinople must starve 1-pop to reach 1000GPP. Case Départ (@ 855/1000 now) needs to run 7 more Specialists across the next three turns:

Pacifism:

((12*3) + 42) * 4.5 = +351 = 1206/1200GPP

Paganism

((19 *3) + 42) * 3.5 = + 346 = 1201/1200GPP
The capital won't starve, but consider that a single Plains Village in the capital is worth almost 12GPT in the capital, and that we have to stop working 7 of these tiles.

So Pacifism wins for me.

Thanks for the numbers, I thought so but was too lazy :p

@ Doshin. The concept of "Bump Cities" is mostly excellent.
I am just a little worried about the impact on the war...
Can we
1. Cease Fire
2. Gift a city
3. Redeclare on the same turn?

Publishing the EOT.

Mercantilism adopted. Stayed in Caste / Pacifism as per consensus.

Ironclad City settled, will pop borders in 2 turns.

Research everywhere. +1904 BPT Is it too much?

Cuirassier movement not too bad I think. Followed Doshin suggestion and pillaged some more.
We'll be ready turn 147 for the dow no problem.

Worker movement is bad. Doing useless farms when I should concentrate on roads and chopping.
Will take a more careful look next turn.

I'll resume playing in 3 hours. Hoping for your greens :)

We can. We can also gift these cities to any remaining AI with fewer than three cities. So for HC, for instance, stage #1 (ceasefire) wouldn't be necessary.

Edit: I can look at the save at 2:00 PM EST, if you can wait until then. :)

Wife Anger level is...?

Soon enough :)

Under control ATM :D

Took a quick look.

We're still quite a bit (1000+) of gold short T151~153 finish at 100% slider. In fact, we need an extra ~500 by T150 and ~1000 by T151 to sustain the current research emphasis.

DoW is... T147? That may get us through T150 but I'm uncertain if that's enough for T151. We can't pillage forever.

If finances are planned, then feel free to correct me/support the current state.

Remember to build wealth instead of culture.

That's too much IMO, our cash won't be enough to support 100% slider, we should build wealth mostly.

Moreover, some former KK cities should start to produce Cuis, for instance, Cordoba for now and Condar should also resume the Cui build. With the optimization of teching and spreading, War progress becomes more tense now. It took us 15 turns to end the war with KK+HC, Alex and especially Nappy are tougher and we has less than 19 turns to finish them.

^ ok to resume building cuirs. Beware we're out of slavery for at least 5 turns.

I ll switch back to building wealth because indeed we can't sustain this rate for long :P

You might also consider running Merchants in any cities that don't have Libraries.

Save looks good. In terms of micro:

Lalibela: switch to Cuirassier.
Barcelona: change a Plains Forest to the coast 2S.
Madrid: change the Plains Hill to a Coast.
Ironclad: build Wealth
Toledo: work the Cottage 1W. With the Forge, this is worth +1F +3H +2C, and lets the city grow 1 turn sooner (on T146, reclaim Grass farm 2N1E).
Sell Clams to Nappy.
Move Barcelona Spear towards Alex/Nappy.

I don't see the reason for this road:

Spoiler :

Move Cuirassier 29 into Ironclad:

If a city cannot build a Cuirassier, prepare a whip.

Without a Forge, Cuirassiers need:

10/100H = 3-pop whip
40/100H = 2-pop whip

With a Forge:

01/100H = 3-pop whip
25/100H = 2-pop whip
62/100H = 1-pop whip
Try to judge as best as you can what whips will be possible for which cities.

^ This road is for spreading Sushi from Bacon to Barb Corner.

Clear on the rest. I shall... proceed...

Go go jata!

We'll be so very happy if we discover the Barb city only has a Coal resource...

Mr and Mrs As(s), your baby's born. It's a merchant.
Actually they are merchant twins.
Sorry nope, they are triplets...

Do we double bulb corporation? (wasting 500 golds, gaining 1 tech)
1 merchant is obviously for the GA, the second for corporation, how's the third?

I wanted a GSpy. :p

GMerchant is just fine, OFC. Are we bulbing Corporation?

GMerchant 1 = Corporation
GMerchant 2 = Sushi
GMerchant 3 = TM or GA#1?

GScientist 1 = Bulb / GA #2?
GArtist 1 = GA#3

----

Uncertain in Case Départ

GScientist 2 = bulb?
OR
GEngineer 1 = GA#2
OR
GArtist 2 = :suicide:

---

Double bulbing Corporation is an interesting idea, since it would shave a turn off all research. I don't know whether it will be possible for our finances. Expenses will go up with Sushi, especially in non-CH cities (many in Japan/Spain) and we need some money for rushing.

For Golden Age safety, any double bulb would need to wait a turn. So we'd need to research Chemistry now, and generate the GP in CD on T147.

What is our GPT @0% research, soundjata?

Unless we get a GA in CD, we'll be fine for T151 Sushi. I do want to re-evaluate if T151 is possible with a single GM bulb so that's why I said so...

We'll have 8~9 turns of GA after research is done, where we can run 100% gold. That should get us around 3,000 gold which should be good for some rush-buying and expenses.
