Well done, LC. There was room for 2 cities up there, but NZ does not deliver like the local Japanese restaurant, so it's great that we took the time to check, but now Whales-1E is on. Is there any reason to consider Whales-far-West again?

No idea. They’ve whipped like crazy. More than we did but they had more pops. They’re only showing 6:culture; per turn but maybe didn’t build a monument in the capital. Time will tell. We’re at 8 per turn, with the cow monument already at 2.

Ok, so the Ivory is not even tempting, even if it had 1 food, but it has to be there for a reason. That's not natural I don't think....so NZ obviously wants us to let SB settle there and trade us Ivory. So he probably has another Ivory. Otherwise, what's the point of waving it in our face?

Yeah, that makes sense. Just like getting Marble.

I don't see the land beyond Marble, but there is no way anyone can settle 1 of 7 cities on marble just to cross that water.

it’s not visible. That 1f1c ocean tile is an indicator that there’s accessible land just beyond it. From the marble tile you only need 10 culture.

The NE island being a bust is a big disappointment. NZ really should have rewarded teams who made the effort to scout it. Teams that just ignore it will be better off. Water under the bridge, I guess.

The far corner tile. I’ll show you two examples. In the first, that ocean tile is 0f0c, in the second, 1f1c.

Above, there is no coastal access from the culture to the island. And...that corner tile is 0f0c.

Below, there is coastal access and the corner tile is 1f1c.

Just the nature of such corner tiles.

I doubt there will be anything special. Just realized what that coastal inlet is for. A work book can reveal all the tiles. If we had just sent a workboat up there like you guys wanted we would’ve found out that this is a bust. Oh well. My bad.
