[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

Not sure.
I'll guess we'll just have to play until Turn 12 and get more scouting info before making a decision on what to build after Worker.
My MM is specific to fast Myst + wb (t20). I think I would instead focus on cows wkr t13 (If possible) and slower myst with your plan.

Wow that was fast! Your only veto of the whole game…

Btw, did you veto the third worker or having a good idea? :smoke:

MG: You probably already figured this out but we have long had a rule that is rarely used but always available and that is if somebody feels really strongly about something they have the right to veto it unilaterally. It adds a little bit of drama! Of course it doesn’t mean the others can’t pound sense into that person...

...And I suppose one could always veto the veto. That’s never happened. By the way only one per game was a joke.

My Test #3:
T0: Science on PH with rice and Sheep, build worker. City #2 on PH with Furs and Cow; work plains river tile; build worker. 0% slider
T3: 100% slider; AH in 9 turns, -3 gpt, 27 gold
T8: Switch citizen in city #2 from plains river to cow. Speeds up worker but doesn't slow down AH.
T12: AH done.
T13: Science finishes worker; partial farm on Science-1N
T14: City #2 finishes worker. Both workers pasture.

LC's plan:
T12 AH
T13 gems wkr
T14 cows wkr
T20 Myst + wb
T26 monument

AH and the workers come on the same turns. Mine used binary research while LC used 90% slider for a few turns. I'm not sure if we lose any of the 40% bonus flasks at 90% slider. At this point, I'd say both of these are close enough to each other that I don't care too much.

What was Kait's plan. Did I miss it?

Kait’s plan was the third worker.

I still need to test this but my realization was if we’re working 12 base beakers per turn instead of 13 @40% bonus, then going from 100 to 90% is a straight trade-off 1b for 1g. In other words, we generate 1bpt less running -2gpt instead of -3gpt. What I forgot to ask you to verify was the -2gpt part.

The reason I did it was to start with 24g instead of 27g, putting +3h into the worker to get the wb done on T20...

In other words:

Mitch:
3t x 1bpt = 3b
5t x 18bpt = 90b
4t x 16bpt = 64b, total = 157b, 0b of

LC:
3t x 1bpt = 3b
6t x 18bpt = 108b
3t x 15bpt = 103b, total = 156b

I suppose this means you could run 90% on the 12th turn and save your coin and get the exact right number beakers, but I’m not certain.

I confirmed that 90% nets us -2 gpt. So our output is:

100%: 12:science: @ -3 gpt for 18 :science: final
90%: 10:science: @ -2 gpt for 15 :science: final

Sid does some crazy things with math so I can run both tests and see where they end up.

Although, I didn't go all the way through completing a workboot so if LC's plan gets the needed hammers to finish the wb a turn sooner, that may make sense.

The point of finishing the work boot a turn sooner is to start the monument right when we complete mysticism. It gets the monument done a turn sooner expanding the borders a turn sooner…

The alternative is to delay the work butt six turns which also saves us six gold total.

T9 2-1-1 0 40 90 2-1-1 0 39 15 111 6 90%

@LC There isn't a 2-1-1 tile in Cows... Which tile should I work? We need to work a tile with 1 coin to get AH on T12 but this will throw off the worker and wb completion.

Not sure that’s the right test. I want to know the beakers put into AH at 90% when our two cities are producing 11 coins total. I know 100% yields 16b. If 90% yields 14b, I’m screwed.
