[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

There is a problem with the Great Engineer getting us Eiffel Tower in 1 turn.

If Silver City reached 15 population at the end of the game, then a Great Engineer gets us 800/1250:hammers: in Eiffel Tower.

The forests at 100:culture: all chopped provide +121:hammers:
The forests at 500:culture: all chopped provode +132:hammers:

Perhaps with Iron it would be ok?
Maybe with a Factory and Coal Plant and some stored whip overflows hmm

If the PPP needs a lot of testing and refinement, I'll have to end my turnset now. I got behind at work last week and I'm going to have to pay the price this week. If things are somewhat settled with a few minor changes, I could play the next five turns.

General comments on the PPP:

1. In what order do we want to infect our cities with Confucianism?

2. In Canal, I see a 2-pop whip of a worker with OF into a wb (for Clam City). Should that OF go into the Mids instead?

3. Silver becomes  on T90. Does that impact our GPP plans?

4. I see four chops into 'Mids fail gold in Clam City. Is that the best use of our forest (i.e. hammers into fail gold)? I'm not sure, just asking.

1) We can decide in next turnset on this.

2) This one is a complicated question.
If we whip the worker 1 turn earlier on T83 and put the fail gold into Mids, we gain 1 worker turn, 40:gold:, and +9:food:, but we lose 2:food: per turn after that.
Clam City could put 1:hammers: into workboat on T84, and we would have the choice to 1-pop whip it later.
With the current PPP, Canal City quickly grows into Size 6 anger on T93 and T94.

If we want our 3rd Great Person to come from Spy City, then I like the current PPP.

If we want our 3rd Great Person to come from somewhere else, I support whipping Canal City worker 1 turn early on T83 and putting the overflow into Mids.

3) Even with 2 angry citizens, Silver City can still grow to Size 9 by T95. Should be worth it.

4) If we are not building Colossus, then all 4 chops into Pyramids is best use of the gold yes.

If we could work all of our water tiles, then Colossus is like +56:gold: commerce per turn.
(As MG pointed out, if we work all Scientists then we won't work water tiles)

Note on PPP:

The Confu Miss could spread Confu T82, but that isn’t needed until T 83. One more chance at auto spread. The PPP is correct as stands.

I guess it's an effort to find job for those workers who should have improved gems. I love trees so I'd prefer to spare clam 1NE tree. Cashflow in the future does suffer from discount rate, but receives bonus from university. So the question is whether the worker still has a job if he leaves the forest. There's no need to decide it in this turnset though .

worker OF into Mids. I like it. +1 vote

Ok, whip the worker in Canal on T83. @20/60
Put 1 hammer into Workboat in Clam City on T84.

Current Workboat waits until T88 to improve Clam City seafood.

Green light to play 5turns if you have time Mitchum.

I have time to play the five turns; I didn't have time to go through 10s of iterations on the PPP and do a lot of testing. ;)

I assume that your PPP has been updated to reflect all of the recent discussion, yes? Or do I need to make modifications?

Also, waiting for WT to weigh in.

BTW, thanks for doing all of the testing and putting the PPP together. :goodjob:

No problem :D

Ah, I am kind of busy now and can't update PPP with the worker whip, Workboat, and LTC Diplo/every turn advice.

Ya, we should let WT chime in.

If those are the only agreed changes for the next 5 turns, I can make the changes on my hard copy of the PPP. If I copy your post and re-post it, I lose all of the icons and the fancy formatting you do. ;)

Agree with OF into mids. (not sure how I let another worker get into the schedule, but whatev)

3rd GP? Could be anywhere. We are not necessarily pushing hard for a 3rd. Maybe Canal's will trickle in during slavery.
I think we get free Philo or we research it ourselves.
All the rest of our GP come after the GAge/Merc

Also agree with MG about trying to a forest at 2Clams. Maybe a nice one that can spawn regrows?

If workers have nothing to do there is always the 2 forts. Maybe some key roads that help missionaries move around.

Nothing is said and done yet... but you get your tundra mine sooner this way. ;) The worker pays for itself by OF gold and getting forests chopped that wouldn't otherwise happen until T150 at which time they may become SB's forests.

That happens after the next 5 turns and can be decided later.

I'd like to see the PPP with scientists in it, b4 green lighting.
And then if you'll be doing a test run, I'd like to see the end of that. whether it's T85 or you run the test longer.
But I'm OK without that test run; The PPP is quite detailed, so we don't have to make this a chore.

when does it lose an anger after T90? and what size are happy at T90?

Here is the city on T92 from Kait's PPP.

Is this sufficient from Kait's PPP:

T83 - Confucian Monastery (Goes to 13/60:hammers:); Sheep, Rice, Horse, Winefarm, Scientist x2

We could also start running a scientist on T85 after we regrow from the 2-pop whip. But that's the next turnset.

Science City is Size 7 on T95 and can easily run 4 scientists with the original PPP and Representation.

It will then go from 24gpp to 96gpp in 6 turns losing 2 food per turn.
Might even be able to squeeze in a 5th scientist for 2 turns.
I would have to check the food bin.

Spare worker turns near the gems could road the tile south of the plains hill that we pillaged in preparation for our eventual cultural growth in science city.

ok, right. next turnset deals with it.

I was gonna try to see if we can get less anger in Silver city, but it looks like it's only whipping one nice big thing (library), so I guess we live with it.
We might have to do avoid growth for the other (bad) reason that you use that button, cus I don't think we wanna be at size9 with 2 angry.
Although, that is only -1fpt.
I suppose we just have to pray that we get IW/gems soon-ish. Or, maybe Peter will trade us Gold, etc.

It may be more than 11 turns of caste. Or, maybe we can fix it by running some sci pre-Rep.
Like in that screenshot. It could be sci instead of Fur.
I'll do a quick SilverCity test.
