[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

If those are the only agreed changes for the next 5 turns, I can make the changes on my hard copy of the PPP. If I copy your post and re-post it, I lose all of the icons and the fancy formatting you do. ;)
I meant to respond to this earlier. If you click 'reply' and then delete the QUOTE tags, you get all the formatting.

You are going to murder the scout.
Your accusation scared me for an hour. It's just dismissal...I may still need him till defogging SE corner of Peter's main island.
If we don't have Mono at the end of 11t of caste, we might waste a free civic switch.

I could be talked into Mono if we get free Poly. But honestly. Any gain we might get from OrgRel (30h = 37h)
Is offset by the (I admit small) upkeep cost of OrgRel and the (relatively) large cost of Mono itself.

Let's switch EPs to Peter.
It seems to me that there might come a time where we'd want to pay 100 (ep slider) to see his research. (I don't want to pay now)
But we can reduce this cost by adding 4/turn starting now. Probably shoulda changed when we met him, but that's hindsight. We didn't know he'd be such a great techer.
We don't care what he's researching if we know we have only one path, for example: Paper, MC, Machinery.
But when it comes time for Feudalism? If he's doing it for us, we could do Compass or Music or something.

After Banking there might be a lot more options for research coordination.

I submit we do not want Sitting Bull to have Alphabet. Ever, if possible. Once he gets it we will have to do counter spy missions every 10 turns to keep him from poisoning our water in Canal, which would be catastrophic.

You miscalculated? :badcomp:
I always consider that possibility and I have checked this innumerable times, believe me.

Your logic for skipping Paper is sound. It’s weird. Once we get paper, we’lll know, because SB’s maps will either cost five gold or a fortune. I guess the question is, what good does map knowledge do us if we don’t meet the AIs?

Funny, I thought of that a few days ago. I was wondering how you got your PPP up so fast and I figured it out. Thanks for the response in the most likely event that I hadn't figured it out. ;)

mabye you missed that Castle requires walls. That's 2k.
No. I included walls.
SB Analysis T55

The mystery: on T0 SB had 6 score points and 4K power points too many. One basic tech gives tge +6 score, what gives the power?

Tl;dr: Hunting is probably the tech, for +2K power. SB may have started with a mystery unit for +2K power (warrior or galley).

Careful study shows SB has the following:
Fishing
Agriculture
Mining
Sailing
Pottery
Bronze working
Mystery tech (hunting?)
4 archers

More conclusions:
0. SB did not start with AH because we got no bonus from it.
1. SB Does not have copper or he would have improved it. I’m fairly sure he doesn’t have AH so he doesn’t know if he has horses yet. I doubt he has Ivory, he’d have camped it.
2. Poverty Point 1whipped a wb on T49 and a granary on T54!
3. Cahokia is building another settler.

My hunch:
NZ stuck either a galley or a warrior in AI Land so he’d meet them. I found a DanF5771 post from Kakumeika saying AIs might not put EPs on others they know. My hunch is we get negmods with all AIs SB knows if we DOW SB. NZ’s evil plot to screw our attitudes...
I can’t remember why I ruled out TW for the 4K but he had to have TW to tech Pottery, so it must be the TW, which explains the full 4K.

Ok. We assume that’s it. No benefit to Paper now.
