[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

Oh. This tree only survived the chop for Oxford.

I sold SB a fur for 1gpt at T100. If he has more gpt and still has no access to fur after T110, you can cancel and redo it for more.

green light
Ya, SB has 10 or more empire population, so 2:gold: per turn should be possible.
I'll do this.

This boat needs to be ready to take Miss #3 west in case of confu failure. Not sure you have time for this detour rt now.
We can discuss this more on T113 when we get Peter's map.

Agree. In my test Clams was large enough for the GAge. It can only support size 9, although size 10 is fine.

I'm not seeing how you can 4whip the Uni in Canal. Where'd the 50 hammers come from? Oh, did u 5pop whip it?
Ok, we will keep the mine!

@Mitchum, love the spreadsheet, as usual. Are you gonna update it with a NatEpic or the food/grow window? or should we just play with it on our own?
I doubt the food window will be 5t. That's just what I do when I have 30 cities and most of them want to whip. We probably won't change civics, so we could to 3t or 4t.
Silver can get 39 food in 3t.

If we plan it right, NE can be built in only 5t (after marble) in Science. No other city can possibly build it b4 GAges.
But we waste it for failgold, so I could see dropping it, but if we're gonna build it after the GAges, then surely it goes in Science with the NatPark, so why not put it there before the GAges. Little bit of corruption of the gene pool. A late artist should be able to bulb Radio.

On the other hand, a pure GS would be nice. I'll have to check the spreadsheet to see if we can speed up Science's 700 or 800 (I was thinking of having Cows go earlier.)

Final item.

I am going to put 8:espionage: on Peter one turn and then match him 5:espionage: per turn after that.

I don't want to accidentally get city vision on a Peter city when we spread Confu and get a 40% espionage bonus.

I'm pretty sure Peter will freak out and start using 10% or 20% espionage slider if we leave +8 per turn on him forever.

Hmm, now that I think about it, memory decay might affect the tech count for +1 Diplo with Peter.
Guess we will find out when he gets Metal Casting.

Did a quick test.
Gave 5 techs to a Peter in a test game, +1 diplo
Went forward 100 turns.
Gave Peter 5 more techs and it became +2 diplo

Perhaps the memory decay on tech counter for "shared your discoveries" is a false alarm.

Playing Real Game now from PPP
Turnset #3 (T109 - T113?)

Continuing from Turnset #2

T109 - Novgorod has 89:hammers: in a build.

Peter's new city has a Chariot garrison and no worker for his ice iron.

Our Chariot has perished after being cruelly abandoned in Anarctica to save a few bucks!

Renegotiated Fur with Peter for 2:gold: per turn.

T110 - SB capital has a galley.
Adjusted espionage on Peter to 5 per turn.
He will have Feudalism in 4 turns.

Novgorod has 91:hammers: in a build. Hmm

T111 - Grr, SB workboat went back north.
Peter WB slowly going east. Currently 2E1S of Clam City on our Clam.

SB and Peter both have 20:gold: for trade now.
Their cities are growing.

Galley is staying in SB capital.
Oxford is ours in 100BC!

Possible small micro error in Cow City.
Ill check it later, no biggie.

Peter Feudalism still in 4 turns.

T112 - SB workboat vanished north exploring the east coast of ivory island.
Peter WB now 3S1W of Canal City.
If he goes 1E next turn or 1NE 1SE he will meet Sitting Bull.
If he goes due north to Canal City I will curse.

Novgorod finished its build, probably a Settler.

Feudalism in 3 turns.

T113 - Metal Casting is ours.

Through a miracle I can't explain, Peter went due north (I think?) and met Sitting Bull anyway! :crazyeye:
Pausing and uploading now.

Spoiler :

Peter Feudalism in 1 turn.

I'll keep the spreadsheet updated when we get closer and know what our pop and food situation is. Obviously, feel free to play around with it. My main goal was to take the things in your brain and a) prove that they would work and b) allow us to play what-if scenarios and move things around.

I vote no on the National Epic in the short term. I had to constantly slow Science down so that it wouldn't generate a great person earlier than your plan. Science doesn't need the 50% boost just yet and a 2% GArt would surely hurt us. Sure, it will go there eventually but we don't NEED it now as shown by The Spreadsheet (TM) so maybe we can use it as a fail-gold opportunity to bridge the gap after our Moai gold runs out. It sure beats building Wealth.

If others want the the NE in Science now, I won't veto it; "I yield the floor and bookmarking this post!" This gambit worked for LC...;)

I was wondering if anyone reads my posts.

 We bent over backwards to get they guy down there. RIP.

Exploration in the North Sea. Fail
Exploration in the Southeast. Fail
Exploration in the Northwest. Fail
I'll take what's behind door number 4, Monty. (realizes that there are only 3 doors). Now what? Optics? Paratroopers?

Now what? Optics?
Optics needs to be teched before bulbing biology. Or just skip compass.

I have been wondering what aggressive AI means in this game. Our land neighbor is not like Shaka or Montezuma. If the 4 unknowns have different religions, they may have started plotting a galley war already.
