[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

The 1400GPP plan still looks dangerously shiny (barring a fatal flaw I haven't spotted after 10 revisions), but it doesn't allow for any error, much drafting, or anything exotically helpful like building National Epic in multiple cities.

With a much simpler 1200GPP plan, we could perhaps revolt to slavery between golden ages and perform the Dun trick in Silver City.
Storing the 50:hammers: overflow, we could chop the forest outside the city on T144 and then the forest next to the city for +50:hammers: and a permanent -1 health.

Then as soon as the city gets Sushi headquarters, we can make a 100:hammers: executive without having to whip the city! :)

So if we agree on Kait's GPP plan, we only need a 2t PPP to get to Optics.

Looks like we had a small sailing error. Missionary should be on the boat already and spread to Vlad this turn, T127.
Luckily, it can still spread T128 and our boat can still make it to the Optics viewpoint for our early Optics.

Whoa you are a genius!

Clam City only builds +2:food: per turn working 4 specialists, so I think it starves down to -5:food: on T141.

Still, losing a pop in Clam City is light years better than losing a pop in our capital! :D

Just need to double check all the food and numbers.
Maybe dust off the test game to make sure city order works as I understand it.
Even the smallest deviation and the 1400 great person zooms out of reach or was never possible in the 1st place.

I need to check if Clam City starving down to Size 8 will cause any more +3:) Representation craziness.
I suspect Clam city loses the Rep. happiness bonus at Size 9, but it shouldn't matter.

What Kait's GPP means:
+++1 extra great person
+1 turn of pacifism earlier, Org religion is useless now.
+drafting doesn't affect GPP(may affect the food in Cows city but won't cause extra starvation, may affect clams city) cities
+GP order has changed a bit so running citizens to build culture is no longer needed.
+T128 is GA so running citizens for the Parthenon may not be necessary.

requires national epics
start GA at T128 instead

-prolonged nationhood, there is no need to prolong nationhood if we only draft from cities that has +2 happiness surplus before.
-empire operates at a lower population when GA starts.

I think one extra GA is just too good to resist.

oops, I think I can fix it.
I think you found the perfect solution starving Clam City.

Clam City is last in the city list, so it has to be less than 700GPP on T141 and greater than or equal to 800GPP on T142.

Pretty cool you fixed the rounding error in Science City with three 6's and three 8's instead of all 7's.

I see that the same technique can be applied to Clam City for a few extra GPP. :)

**Edit**
Oh!
Clam City can't work 2 specialists on T136 without a new farm being added to Clam City.
It should be 3 specialists and +4:food:, not 2 and +6:food:.

I fixed ClamCity so it won't starve.
It requires working +6 food (to 25 this turn)
And it needs one farm. after the GAge, so it can get +7fpt

Yep, I do that all the time with Parthenon, and ClamsCity needs that trick too.

Ah crap, I forgot that the city square gives +2:food: at all times. >_<
Let me check the math on food again. :o
It might affect when we work everyone in the city as a specialist.

oops, I think I can fix it.
Right, I see it now.
If Clam City gets another farm for T136, T137, and T138, it can gain +6:food: per turn for 3 turns and won't starve :)
Spoiler :

Clam City cannot get +6:food: on T127 unless it works 2 gross plains tiles.

There's another simple fix that wouldn't require a farm in Clams. Just have clams to the 700 1 turn sooner, and Science does the 800.
Clams could even do it 2t sooner.

It looks like Canal City can save 1 starving population also now that I'm counting the food correctly.

I think we've got it down to 3 pop starves in Canal and 1 pop starves in Whale.

here's clams 700

Oh wow, another big improvement. :crazyeye:
No farm needed.

Yes, by having Clam City and Science City switch, Clam City can be done with great people 1 turn before 2nd Golden Age starts instead of 1 turn after.

That means we can whip Forge and perhaps construct Colossus in Clam City during 2nd GA with chops.
