[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

Bummer, MG, but these things happen. That one even seems like a bug. I probably woulda done a similar thing (probably in Communism, but that would likely be a waste too)

I didn't know overflow went into a tech during Anarchy either.
Even unselecting the tech might have caused it to randomly be assigned to another tech since we are past turn 5 now that I think about it. :hmm:

*Edit*
Xpost!

It might have been avoided by cancelling the tech option like what we did in the first 4 turns. There is no guarantee though.

Louis sells iron for 63gpt+horse+silver+deer. Saladin offers silk and gold.

I need to go outside for a walk and breathe some fresh air.

I can confirm that you made no error.
Bad planning. :wallbash::hammer2: So, we are not behind one single :science:. We are just out a few hundred gold. No big deal.

Test Game indicates that selecting no tech right before Anarchy will result in one random tech getting all the overflow beakers.

Since there was no way to select Physics, there was nothing Mirrorguard could do.

A strategic planning error on our part. :o
Anarchy can not be used to store :science: overflows in seems.

On the bright side, I now know that teching during Anarchy is possible!!!
Just need to keep Archery a mystery the whole game, then tech it during Anarchy to preserve 95% of the :science: overflow.

Let's get that gpt, gold, and silk. Has Bismarck ever offered gpt? should we wait a bit?
+2 Open borders is T192.
+1 Resources is T192 with 3 resource trades right now.

+1 Peace
+3 Shared War (assuming he signs a Peace Treaty in the future)
+4 Fair Trade

I think we should trade Bismarck 3 resources right now and plan on getting Replaceable Parts in 17 turns.
Waiting for gpt?
I like having Windmills with +1:hammers: quickly.

Louis gets wine for crab +3. Then we can get wine from Bismarck.
Good thinking. :)

Has Bismark conquered that northern HRE city?
He should have 2 Wheat if he did that. Hmm
Probably too risky. He might already have traded such a rare item as wheat.

Jeez, Holy Roman Empire got Great Engineer on T173.
Then Arabs got Great Engineer on T174.

We might see a rapid winnowing of Great Wonders soon if they reach cities building them.

Turn 174, 1140 AD: Augsburg (Charlemagne) has been captured by the German Empire!!!
Oh hey!
That's the western-most runt city.
Spoiler :
From T142
Steal from SB this turn and come back and steal again.
Right, will pray for success.
We actually steal :gold: on T176 to get the full -50% bonus.
