Hmm no views of my spreadsheet. I will take that to mean you trust me. I suspect that you are all just building pastures and cottages, and learning about religion though.
4000bc settler to east. A capital either south or north look OK but I will go south as this appears a majority view.
Therefore worker east as well.
Ibt
India founds capital: not a big surprise.
3950bc
Settler and worker onto cow
3900bc
Settler one south where it will found
Plan worker actions required.
After a bit of planning irrigating first seems clearly right so I do this.
3850BC
Found capital. There is deer to the south.
Consult with team before playing further.
OK no disagreement (or agreement with ) my plan.
Spreadsheet : check
Mapstat : check
Civ assist 2 : check
so its chocks away, see you all in 3000bc.
Set research for pottery at maximum: due in 14 turns.
Follow spreadsheet plan until 3700bc, when I realize that the worker has to travel 2 to the south (not one) for its next task. I rejig the sheet to allow for this, no difference made, as with 2 workers there is a bit more time.
3600bc warrior built and sent NE. He is only allowed a few tiles wander then back as MP in capital.
3500bc grow to size 2 and notice second problem with the plan. I have no BGs in play for another 4 turns, so either a worker build will take longer than I had planned or I will have to work a forest tile and sacrifice growth: nuts, I will have to replan.
OK another 5 minutes toiling away at the sheet, and I have another plan. The second worker will be a turn late, but the granary should finish at the same time.
3400bc worker finishes.
It seems I was wrong about AI and curraghs as well, as the Indians send out a curragh. Keeping them bottled up may not be practical. We certainly cant stop this curragh (currently 2 NW of our capital).
I swap to barracks. The chop in the south is due to finish the same turn I will learn pottery. I think I will be able to swap first via the big picture) or I will end up with a useless barracks.
Anyway, I check with a new random game what does happen with chops. The news is bad. The chop gets added before the tech, you can swap production then, but any overflow shields are lost. This really is annoying. Blast these cheap militaristic barracks.
I return wearily back to the spreadsheet once more. I reckon that if the worker has a cool beer this turn, then starts wood cutting next turn I can get the granary at the same time, just. Thus far everything is still of course therefore, but it is a bit of a MM nightmare.
Anyway, having a worker sit around doing nothing appeals to me: I doubt that Wacken will allow such idleness.
So thats what I did.
3150BC pottery learnt. A few coins were saved by reducing science last turn, but this is back up to 100% for writing now..
3050BC Indian curragh off coast again.
3000BC
Over, still on plan, apart from the Indian curragh.
