Shaq requests trade from LA Lakers

Shaq gives you the best chance to win now. And with Cuban as an owner, the Mavs would be rebuilt the season after Shaq left or retired anyway.

Atleast as a Mavs fan you know that Cuban wont let the team fall into the pits, not without a fight :p

And they just traded for Devin Harris and Pavel Podkolzine. Which means that Nash would likely be resigned and included in a package to try and get shaq.

Although I would hate to see Nowitzki in a Lakers uniform....that would almost make me have a chance of remotely considering the possibility of not hating them :p

What is the latest rumors on Shaq being traded? What about T-Mac- Is he
still on the way to Houston? :scan:

Most likely. Phoenix is all but out of the running, and the only other team is Indiana and I havnt heard anything on a deal with them.

T-Mac isnt going anywhere for at least a week, according to the magic. They are looking hard at phoniex and indina again, due to their fears they might not be able to keep francis.
As far as Shaq, i think Dallas will now offer Nash, the 5th pick in the draft (forgot who that was) for Shaq. sounds like a good trade to me.
20 out of the 30 teams in the nba suggested a trade for shaq. I wonder who didnt?
Rumor has it that Memphis has stepped up their offer...they want shaq too, but its much less likely.

Dallas is sending Nash & 5th pick  ---What about Dirk?

Could not Orlando get Francis and trade him elsewhere for someone that
does want to play for them? It seems some other teams could really use him.

t-mac trade is only hold till mid july because francis has a clause that kicks in then, so there waiting

Dallas said they want to keep dirk. I dont blame them. A dirk and Shaq low post combo makes them the most dangerous team down low in the league. They wont want to give up on him
I think dallas might include another player in that deal, to help with the salaries.
with all this trade stuff, Im starting to get into basketball again!

shaq makes 28 million, it will be nash, the pick and about 2 others guys, i think you have to have the salaries within 15% of each other

Dallas is nuts....Nash + 5th pick?!?! No way!

lakers don't want nash anyway--he's trade bait. pheonix wants him bad, if l.a. gets him they will trade him ( i think the suns were offering marion and johnson ) hence l.a. sents shaq to dallas fore 3 bodies and then nash to suns for 2= 2 for 5. acourse this all changes tomorrow

I'm hearing now of possible: Shaq not leaving, Shaq/T-mac (Shaq still has a
house in Orlando), LA-Houston-Orlando ??? What do you guys hear  :scan: ?

Im hearing that Shaq is going to most likely the Mavs, Nets, Pacers, or even the Sacramento Kings.

alot of this is due to contracts--the t-mac trade is on hold till a clause in steve francis contract kicks in in july, same with steve nash. shaq needs to keep his mouth shut, he's his own worst enemy. when this started with him demanding a trade 10 teams came up with weak offers, then the lakers said he wasn't on the block and all those offers died execpt dallas which upped its offer. now his talking sh*t again, does he understand, that the harder he makes it on l.a. the longer other teams will wait, hoping to get him at the lowest price. if he would just shut up he might be traded already.

He doesnt care what happens to the Lakers though, he knows he'll get his extension and money.

I'm not suprised, you never make a blockbuster trade within your own conference; if you want to win the title you never make another team you might be facing in the conference finals better. This trade is good for everybody in the west exept the Lakers and Shaq. I don't see either winning the finals next year. Actually if Shaq is happier leaving the Lakers it is probably good for him personally. Probably it will make Miami a power in the east but I don't see it being enough to win the whole thing. If they add a few more pieces it could be another story...

As I heared Carter will leave Raptors....how posible is that his join Miami also!? does he have house on Florida too. It would be exelent team in that case, but don't belive it would work at all, as I heared that Carter has very "wierd" character, so it'll be "deja vu" from LAL Kobe-Shaq.

Steve Nesh rejoined Suns.

Whats with Bryant? (O yeah, he'll spend next season on safer place, maybe ;) ).

@ Drew Yes, this trade open the door for TWolfes in next Western C. season (with Kings and San Antonio on the run) allthough we don't know how all the teams will look like.
+ East -more equal to- West :goodjob:

I heard on news last night that Carter probably will stay as nobody (Knicks for
instance) have anyone available that would fill up Toronto's arena and that
is what they are demanding.

Shaq makes Miami an instant contender with up-in-coming D. Wade :scan: .
But Lakers got a pretty good deal out of it, especially the 1st round pick.

It blows my mind all this talk of Kobe, He is on TRIAL for sexual assault  . Yet nobody hardly speaks of this as they talk instead of giving him millions of dollars and he may not can even play  . What
is up with that, are they suffering from denial???
