We were formerly known as the Republic of China, however we now drop all claims to being the government of China as a whole and declare our independence from China as the Republic of Taiwan.

We look for other democratically elected governments to support us in this decision.

We would like to form an East Asian Democratic Alliance. the EADA would work together to ensure the security of our nations in light of the increased military activity of the People's Republic of China, namely their threats against the Kingdom of Spain, the break down of the Six Party Talks and the re-nuclearisation of the Korean penninsula and several other events that cause us great concern in today's troubled world.

Both of your nations are members of NATO. Remember that any action taken against a member state acts the defensive alliance between all nations.

To PRC and Taiwan:
We condemn the Chinese declaration of war, and offer full diplomatic support to Taiwan. However we can not at this time offer military support to the Taiwanese. Be warned though; any Chinese attack on a population center (bombing; nuclear or conventional) will not be taken lightly.

To Venezuela:
The only thing we will accept is full departure of Venezuelan troops from Colombia, and the re-establishment of the Colombian government in exile. Colombia is a democratic nation; you have no right to interfere in their democratic process. We will agree to the installment of UN peacekeepers, and we will pressure the Colombian government to have reelections; but there will be no ballot on joining Venezuela without the permission of the Colombian government after the reelections.

It is very simple. All Tawain needs to do is withdraw their declaration of independence and we can all go back to the way things were before. We have no intentions of bombing civilians on the island of Tawain. Our intention is to put down an internal rebellion that is occuring in our lands.

SPAIN-MOROCCO TENSIONS

The Russian Federation must voice its concerns regarding the absense of civilized diplomacy and the presense of constant threats in the matter. This world will not benefit from constant bickering and threats, and we are deeply convinced that all problems, including this one, must be solved diplomatically. We are also most strongly disappointed in our friends in the European Union who chose to escalate this conflict instead of pressuring Spain and Morocco into finding a resolution that is acceptable to all. It is clear that terrorism is a grave threat to the world, and the Russian Federation remains committed to combating terrorism while maintaining the values of national sovereignty and national self-determination.

TAIWANESE CRISIS

The Russian Federation most strongly condemns the provocative steps taken by Taiwain which may lead to a complete distabilization of the Far East. We extend our condemnation to any other nation that supports these actions which will undoubtably lead to a confrontation and the loss of many lives. We must reitirate that diplomacy is always a prefered solution to warfare, and that in this situation specifically, where many lives are on the line, diplomacy must always prevails over threats. We call upon both sides, the government of Taiwan and the government of the PRC, to renounce all threats and to commit themselves to a peaceful solution to this problem.

UGT would like to offer Lomé as a centre of mediations for the Germans, Spanish, and Morroccans. We have been watching out for terrorists and funding, and at the moment have no evidence it came from Morrocco. However, we would like all sides to sit down and figure out a way to peacefully prevent the threat of war in Europe and Africa.

If Spain has evidence proving that Morrocco was behind the bombings, there are many ways to enact a punishment without war.

American Statement:

The people of Taiwan have chosen to become an independent player on the world scene. They have for 60 years been in a stage of quasi-independence; regardless of China's beliefs they are their own country. They have taken the final stage to enter the world stage; the United States fully supports them and have recognized their independence. They have recinded their claim to China by renaming themselves the Republic of Taiwan and the United States believes that the PRC has no claim over the island having never been in control of it in the first place.

That being said the United States is sending two full Carrier Groups to ensure Taiwanese independence. The USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Ronald Reagen have been ordered to take their task forces and sail to Taiwan. Military bases in South Korea and Japan have been put on highest alert. Any attack on American forces by the PRC will be considered an act of war.

We ask the whole world to join us in our effort to safeguard the Taiwanese people.
