Official Diplomatic Statements of the Greater Bolivarian Republic
On The Legal and Laudable Russian Expansion: The Greater Bolivarian Republic commends the Russian Federations initiative in expanding its democracy and facilitating a positive growth in the region. We are glad they have come around to our point of view on the matter of regional consolidation, and hope that our relations can flourish in this new age.
On the Attack at the Winter Olympics: The Greater Bolivarian Republic condemns the atrocious terrorist acts and extends its condolences to the families who lost loved ones. We also thank the terrorists for picking hockey, because hey, its just hockey, who really cares? The Greater Bolivarian Republic vows that no such terrorist acts shall happen during the Caracas Olympics.
On the Bombing of LiftPort Headquarters: The Greater Bolivarian Republic is shocked that any organization would be opposed to the march of scientific progress. We hope that this progress gets back online, and we also offer to help with it in anyway we can once the renovation of the Universidad Bolivarian de Bogotá (formerly the Universidad Nacional de Colombia) and its top-of-the-line research facilities are complete.
On the Advent of a New Nuclear World: The Greater Bolivarian Republic is concerned about the advent of this new nuclear world. The treaties in place have done nothing but seemingly expedite their spread. With Iran gaining Nukes and ICBMs, with Pakistan and India having nukes poised to destroy their respective countries, and with NK itching ever closer to becoming a danger to the whole world, we see a need for change. With Spain and Germany close to a nuclear arms race, we see a need for change. Thusly, in protest and in hope, the Greater Bolivarian Republic withdraws from the NNPT, and hopes for a new treaty, one that will acknowledge the rights of some nations to nuclear weapons other than those in the First World created nuclear club, but one that will force the world to use and police them responsibly. Thusly, we recognize the UIC right to nukes, but condemn its promotion of destabilization. We condemn this new age of nuclear terror, and we condemn all those not willing to take a stand about it.
On the Invasion of Tunisia: The Greater Bolivarian Republic denounces this seemingly random act. We call for a plebiscite to see the wishes of the Tunisian people.
On the Columbian Referendum: The Greater Bolivarian Republic is glad to have peacefully come together. We are heartened by the International Communities warm welcome of us, and we pledge to lead South America, and the entire Third World, into a time of Poly-Polarity and Equality among Nations and Peoples.
On the Mogadishu Accords: The Greater Bolivarian Republic is pleased that peace has come to this part of the world. We recognize Puntland and Somaliland.
On Cyprus: The Greater Bolivarian Republic is pleased that Unification has finally arrived
On the Mediterranean Sea Incident: The Greater Bolivarian Republic is shocked at the barbarism of the so called First World powers. If the EU cannot keep the peace in its own backyard and within its own organization, how can it pretend to be a viable international actor?
On the Stott Report: The Greater Bolivarian Republic is shocked by this propaganda to keep the Third World in its place. It would be less dubious if the report hadnt ignored the fact that since 2007, the Ice-Caps and Greenland have stopped melting at an anywhere near alarming pace. Green Imperialism is reprehensible. (OOC: The 2007 thing is true. Will put in link later)
On the Cuba Incident: We applaud Rauls move to free the illegal prisoners in Gitmo and to take back its territory. We urge the United States to take caution and use diplomacy before military action. Under no circumstances will a regime change or an annexation of Cuba be tolerated.
On the Brazilian Elections: We welcome the new Social Democrats into power, and hope this is a sign of better relations between the two powers of South America. May your government rule long and prosper.
On the Benelux Unification: While we applaud this move, we ask that referendums in each nation be held as to whether unification is wanted, and as to whether individual provinces would rather stay independent or join another country.
