710AD-900AD: Stables stables everywhere
T97:
I notice St. Pete is just screaming for some chain irrigation.
Renegotiate Mao trade for net +3gpt
Don't renegotiate Gold trade with Churchill, hovering over it in the cancel screen shows him saying "We would have nothing to gain" so he has gotten one somewhere.
Put the discussed work boat as fogbust duty until the Iron filler is settled.
T98:
Paper is in, going for Aesthetics.
Biz builds Chichen Itza. Oh well, UoS is open already

Set building to it to double the overflow, make Worker afterwards and then back to UoS.
Gandhi

es about us and Churchill, no way buddy. Being Gandhi he doesn't even care his requests are denied.
The amount of unimproved tiles being worked is obscene. Though partly (mostly) that is because they're actually halfway usable in GA
T99:
Crowded turn. Ya-Sugar's Granary got bombed apparently by Mao, last turn of GA, Aesth is in with tons of trade opportunities.
Set research to Nationalism and slider to 0%.
WFYABTA could lurk behind any trade (haven't been counting). I consider Philo the best, so I start with that.
We could get a beautiful Machinery+5gold with Aest+(CS/Philo), but that would awkwardly leave HBR out of (non-lopsided) trading. The techs are really inconveniently sized here. I don't understand why Churchill has monopoly whine on Construction, it should be enough for 2 others to know it for him to trade it. I really think he has contacted a 6th Civ here, someone that knows Machinery no less. Narf, everything would be so beautiful if Gandhi didn't know Aesth

Anyway, we don't really need Machinery here and we'd like to start up on some Stables so I make the HBR trade and leave Machinery up in the air for now. Churchill really doesn't need military help for now so we don't need to semi-gift Maces to him.
Convert to Hindu and OR. Stay at Caste.
Everyone but Mao has Aesth now, so I sell it to him lopsidedly since he's not anyones WE and is in WFYABTA anyway.
We get lights on in India due to this. How the hell did Gandhi manage to get so many damn cities with such a craptastic capital??? (Okay, Bombay and Vijay are pretty damn nice)
Sorry for the farked pic, Civ tends to do that sometimes and I didn't notice it before now
Left it in anyway since I didn't take a lot of pics.
T100:
Set slider to full steam, we'll get Nat in 5 turns at 90% with some Wealth buildage from Moscow.
We could get a really nice Construction+150g trade with Paper from Gandhi (a fair one so no WE hate) but I decide against it as people seem to think he's our main threat of losing Lib.
Massive rearranging of citizens from unimproved tiles -> specialists. Still leaves a lot of worked forests and crap like that.
I change EP to Gandhi for a while to see his demographics. Nice to know who's winning the war.
Really should have grinded GP (was possible to do 6 with deficit, same as St. Pete) in Novgorod if we wanted double bulb, now the 2nd GP takes 14 turns. We might not be able to wait for it to double bulb Edu. Not a biggie anyway, the doublebulb wasn't that necessary in the first place as discussed also.
T101:
Gandhi gets Nationalism. This is obviously both good news (not anywhere near Lib) and bad news (our Taj shot might fail though it really shouldn't).
As predicted Churchill asks us to DoW Gandhi. Refused and as also predicted it's easy to stay at Pleased with religion.
A suspicious Galley by Mao is on its way south. I change Novgorod to Settler immediately and borrow a tile from Ya-Fish to build it in 3 turns instead of 4. It might be nothing, but oh would I be pissed off if he planted a damn city on our Iron. We'd also need Cons for the settling to be in time on our preferred spot in the worst case scenario - we could get that from Gandhi but he wasted his gold and we're not that desperate yet.
Churchill's cash is rising, a bit more and selling Philo+CS for Machinery+cash would be OK (has 130g now so around 340g for the other in that case). I just wish Construction would be in the trade instead.
T102:
Nothing much
T103:
Churchill gets Feudalism. Doesn't affect much though except maybe his capability to defend against Gandhi. Also the powers change from 0.7 vs 0.6 to 0.8 vs 0.6 so Churchill is on the losing side ATM. No way he'll lose cities though.
Biz went Optics, don't think he'll be threatening Lib either.
Building Moai in Ya-Copper, no other sensible place for it really and will turn it into an OK prod city.
T104:
Making Hindu Monastery in Ya-Sugar for at least a semblance of culture battle. We'll lose though in the long run.
Zzz.
T105:
Damn, Biz made UoS fast. Could have milked a bit more gold from it without the Settler panic which turned out to be a bust.
Starting Taj in Moscow. Should be about 8 turns.
---
Our tech is going according to plan, after all we get the double bulb and no one seems to threaten it badly. The settler should probably settle the original intended spot, it's standing where it is because we would have had to settle 1S of Iron had that Galley been a Settler-bearing one. Probably some worker mismicro here and there but the most important jobs should be done (namely the three sets of chain irrigation). Uneventful TS after the initial GA + trade frenzy all in all.
Tech now Lit->Music->Edu->Lib. Can swap Edu and Music if someone is scared about losing it, means running 0% for a while waiting for the second scientist. Not many trades abound, there's still the CS+Philo for Machinery+cash option. I wouldn't take it though (probably evident from the fact that I did not take it

).
