I actually think El Dorado would make more sense since you could fit it into the Exploration Age and it was an important part of the imaginary among the European colonizers/explorers. Same with the kingdom of Prester John. Mythical places, but with real consequences.
I thought it would be interesting if the Triangle was an unrevealed section of ocean where ships, traders and flights occasionally disappear. It would still show up as rough seas, or whatever. But after enough “evidence” it could be revealed on the map as a wonder. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Obligatory reminder that the Bermuda Triangle does not pose a statistically significant extra danger to ships (or planes) compared to other oceans, nor is there a statistically significant increase in disappearances there. It just happens to be a busy shipping and flying area, meaning there's more possibilities for anecdotal stories to spawn than in most parts of the world, plus it's close to the US, which means there's a lot people in the Western cultural sphere that view it as (somewhat) close.

Bermuda Triangle should be double rough seas penalty, even if you have the tech that makes you immune to rough seas. Furthermore, you should have to map it out by trial and error and you won't ever know how big it is (up to 8 hexes). Then it would be fun. But if it is teleporting again, I'd rather it not be forced upon me.
