Hey,i've lurked around these forums since got Civ4 like 2 months ago and i figure this could only help my gameplay.I don't care what team i'm on. I don't have BTS yet but i plan on getting it soon.Is that ok?

Im not on the roster yet? I'm signing up, any team would be fine. I play at monarch level.

Note: I see most of the old-timers are signing up for team 3. It might be good to spread them around a bit.

Frankly I was expecting to see more familiar names than new ones :hmm:

But considering that the majority of the players in the roster haven't played this format before, it may be wise to put at least one veteran on each team.

Speaking of veterans, I haven't yet been assigned a team :hammer:

To all the veterans: for now, I kept you on the teams you requested. However, it would be nice, as peter grimes and dutchfire pointed out, to spread some around. If there are any players from the previous game that haven't signed up yet (or other individuals you think would like this game), send them a PM and have they sign up for one of the other teams.

well, i too have visited civfanatics many times over the past few years but registered just for this. sounds like it'd be fun. if there's any room left on any team i'd like to join. i've never played this type of format but would love to give it a try. thanks.
 
If it's not too late, I would love to join too. I'm an experienced CIV player but mostly single player vs AI so multiplayer is something I would love to try.

I'd be happy in any team, wherever I'm needed.
 
Hello everybody,

I'm new to this forum, but I'm hardly new to the civilization franchise. I've played all the installments (including call to power, but played the first and fourth the most). I would like to join TEAM 1 because they have few members and the name of its members are cooler.

N.B. My native language is french so my errors are not necessarly due to a lack of education. I tend to build strong economies so others will have to argue with me about wether we should build that building or that unit.

Can I make a request for helping to balance out the teams?

Can all people please post up their usual game level, and maybe the number of years they've been playing Civ? And can we put that next to the names in the roster please?

If we have all the noble players on one team and all the immortals on another that may make rather an eneven game! Given how long we will be playing this I think it's worth getting the team balance right!

When showing the teams can you also put an 'unassigned' section too to show those people who have said they want to play but haven't picked a team yet (like me!)?

Hey maybe we should all just join team 3 and make things simpler. :p
 
p.s. just so I am clear, you don't need all members of a team present in order to progress, right? I know there will be some days that I won't be able to contribute (definately don't make me the turn player)
