SKNES: Architecture of Aggression

Castile should have it's map color changed to yellow... For cowards. "Please please please sign peace with me!" they say.

These peace treaties are hilarious, btw. Way ahead of their time in senseless bs.

Spoiler :
Amon! You're the one who overturned 500 (Turning Pagan), 1300 (Being Atheist) and 2700 (No Patron God) years of tradition! These pieces of paper are justified BECAUSE they are made law within our lands! With treaty as law, we can be assured that a single hot-head named Roland won't start another war by burning a couple of neighboring fiefs down for the freaking sake of it!!! Face it! Adding NESers in an equation accelerates "progress"!, sow hat if it is senseless? We dealt with Armenia all the way in the Causcus fearing the HRE's defensive alliance! We dealt with policies that work everywhere except in our own countries, misalliances, and other "fun" moments! THAT IS WHAT THIS NES IS ABOUT. If you want a "real game" where every one is all serious, then start by acting serious!

:gripe:

Speech by Ameer Aqeel al-Rashied
My brothers and sister! Listen to your Sultan for a moment. I have news of great importance.

We have recently tried to make peace with the Holy Roman Empire. However in these times, peace is never guaranteed. It seems that the HRE refuses to sign the peace treaty. Sadly this undoubtedly means the end for Castile. Their numbers greatly outnumber us, and their will is strong. In this dark hour, we stand alone.
But fear not, for in the darkest hour, the Pheniox rises to take a stand once more.
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

These are tough times my brothers and sisters, but Allah will guide us through it. Whether we land up in Heaven or Solomon, Allah did what is best.

To: HRE
This is our end. We shall meet on the battlefield.

The Black Scythes, Muslim Defensive Alliance
Help us in our time of need in any way you can. Please

Muslim Defensive Alliance
Help us in our time of need in any way you can. Please

IN the name of all things holy to anyone at all, you can't be serious in thinking your blatant aggression will activate your defensive pact.

It won't, but I'm hoping they will still help me. Oh well...SKNES was fun. If (Probably when) the HRE destroys me, i will rejoin.

HA
First you invade us. Than you ask for a crazy peace. Than you ask for a plausible peace. Than you claim we are coming to destroy you and continue the war.

The inability of your leaders will soon be put to a real test, one which is not a surprise attack on our homelands, one that is not an attack on the people of god.

As to the Iberian Muslims, I will promise, I will influence the Emperor to not occupy even a single inch of land in Iberia out of a true wish to see peace between the Muslims and the HRE. Please detain your unstable ally.

OOC: Me being ******** and being scared of the HRE is exactly why I'm signing the treaty, I just want to get back to a blank slate for better roleplaying. I feel stupid for being worried about them and their decisions. Hence the usurption and new dynasty. And Mickzter, I was just about to start attacking the Abbasid Caliphate for control of Azerbaijan, so it would be nice if you chose someone else. Maybe.

The Door to the Queen’s chambers burst open, the dull thud of the it’s imapct against the stone walls punctuating the guard’s “You can’t do that!”

Queen Astridr woke instantly despite her advancing years, reaching for the blade she kept under her pillow as a Robbed man knelt before the bed. He glanced up, and as the light of the dying fire flickered on his face, the queen recognized him as her skald. She relaxed and gestured at the guard, who was standing uncertainly near the door “Lodur! What brings you to my chambers,” She glanced out the window “It can’t even be midnight yet.”

“Please forgive me, my Queen. I know you must be tired, the festival for peace, yesterday, was long, but this cannot wait. We’ve just received word from Heorot. They claim that all the signs point to the beginning of the Axe-Age. The priests say that they have seen hints of it for years, but, tonight, the signs became incontrovertible.”

“What signs?”

“Look!” Lodur led the queen to the window of her room and pointed up towards the night sky. There, distinctly visible, was a red streak in the sky. “They say that that is a streak of Baldur’s blood.”

“By the Allfather’s Eye.” The queen whispered “It is true. I dreamt of this, as did my grandfather. He took the first steps to protect Midgard from the white Christ. I have to go further. Go now, but send me my messengers.”

Lodur bowed and left the room, seeing as he closed the door, the Queen seated at a table, furiously writing.

To all those who follow the AllFather:
The Hour of Ragnarok is Nigh, the blood of Baldur already stains the sky. This is surely the Axe age and the Sword age. We need sworn men to defend our people during the eventual coming of Fimbulwinter, where it is said that wolves the size of houses will prey on our people, that Brother will fight Brother, and a winter will fall that will not end until the Meeting of God and Evil on the Field of Battle.

The Auguries and Wise Men agree on this. As such, Jutland, as the heart of the Faith, asks that all Men and Women of Stout Heart Join us in this Dominion of The Allfather on Earth, This Dominion of Midgard.

King Faraz stood at the balcony in his palace at Yerevan. He was looking at the night sky. He wasn't the only one. Hundreds of citizens in the city below had stopped their work to look at the strange phenomenon. The Patriarch calmly walked up to the King, as he had been visiting on some official buisness.
"King, you see the red in the sky?" the Patriarch questioned.
"Of course I do, fool. What is it?" the King angrily replied.
"It is a sign from God! He is angry because of Herkules the Fool's decisions, but he is pleased with you. But he wants something before he will truly bless you."
"Yes...what?"
"The blood of a thousand heretics and heathens, spilled in his name."
"Then it shall be done."

King Francis II is old, but he can still see, and he knew what he saw.

There, hanging in the sky, is a great bloody mark staining the white clouds, and another, darker one faintly intersected it.

A cross... could it be the second coming?

Yes... and it must be an omen of victory! "Men!" he shouted, waking several in nearby tents. A gasp grew as they looked upon the sky, "God has given us his blessings! We will attack tomorrow!

Pray, for Christ himself will watch our victory!"

OOC: Could the people I have PM'd please respond? I'd like to do my orders soonish, but I can't until you guys reply and we sort something out, if possible.

Thanks :)

Nighttime in Tamatarkhan. Always a peaceful time. However, there are always exceptions to everything. As half the city lay sleeping, the other half stood, entranced by the glaring red streak in the sky. Rumours fled as quickly as Tamanic horses. In times like, this, any possibility could be considered.

Thump

*Pant* "My Duke, my Duke, wake up, please!", shouted a messenger, running quickly into the Duke's private quarters.

"Hush, boy. I was never asleep. I have noticed as well." the Duke replied, quite calmly indeed.

"But what should we do? The general population is panicking, no one knows what is going on!", the messenger shouted in terror.

...

"If you would please, call together the clergy, the military council, and the heads of research. If we can get the opinions of the elites in Taman, then perhaps that will calm everyone down. For all we know now, it could be either a harmless cloud, or a sign from God."

"A-as you wish, sir. Shall I spread the word to the city? Of the council, I mean?"

"If you desire so, but I suspect that by dawn, it will be the only thing our people will be talking about. Still... I wonder what the leaders of all the other nations are thinking..."

As the messenger ran off, still out of breath and only driven by the motivation of sheer fear, Duke Balghichi Tamaturan sat down, his face buried in his hands. Sigh. All this drama lately is giving me a headache. But what else can I do but try my best to help, and leave the rest to complete chance?
