SKNES: Architecture of Aggression

Iberia. The single area of this world that is not hell. Reason?

Iberian Pact of 980 AD/358 AH-1100AD/478AH (includes 1st BT)

1) The Signatories are Aquitaine, Basqueland, Barcelona and Badajoz, for the purpose of securing the peace and prosperity of Iberia for now and future generations, regardless of conflict or troubles elsewhere.

2) For the next Century, all signatories shall participate in a trade pact furthering previous deals, opening the passes of Pyrenees and the ports on the Atlantic and Mediterranean.

3a) For the next Century, all signatories shall profess non aggression to each other, and especially prevention of conflict on Iberia/Al Andalus proper and the homelands of the signatories.

3b) If conflict brews elsewhere and troops of signatories clash elsewhere, the victor reimburses the victim. Hence Aquitaine shall reimburse Badajoz 8EP or equivalent in trade duties over the course of the Pact.

4) The signatories affirm their commitment to preserve religious toleration, at least in the case of Christianity and Islam, to prevent provocative occurrences.

I got banned by parents before I got to post it. But really, this ensured that Iberia shall for generations to come a bastion of peace and prosperity. :D

EDIT: As for Caucasian trade empires, see Khazars IRL, as well as some of the less militaristic regimes of the Golden Horde. EDITEDIT: A case can be made with pre-roman Greco-Persian states as well in that area.

Terrance! Good to see you mate!
Don't forget another reason...The Iberian Golden Road, the biggest trade road in the world, built in honour of the recently signed treaty.

Meh, if the Muslims stopped attacking, then we'd all just ended up with a white peace and have gotten nowhere. :p

Well, SK might do that in a while. it's his domain, we wouldn't want to step on his toes.

Hell, if he wants to do the industrial age one he was thinking, it'd be cool if he did it as a projection in the future of the NES.

Most of the invasions never happened because 1. they likely would gave failed horribly and 2. most people who care are tired of the war.
As for the printing press, its there, it just hadn't made a big enough impact to be mentioned in the update.

The earliest that a sequel run by me in this verse will be the late 1400s. That leaves 400+ years for something else. If anyone wants to take up what Gem Hound said i'll gladly endorse it and give you my full support.
The industrial age NES (still being planned) would run on one of two scenarios, neither of which had anything to do with this verse. 800 years is simply too much to time skip - way too many variables.
