Isn't the Chewbacca Defense pretty similar to WIFOM, deliberately acting scummy/suspicious and/or just generally trying to obfuscate and confuse? That connotation doesn't really pertain to Vizzini's showdown with Westley all that much, but it's how the term is typically used.

The Chewy Defense is confusing the hell out of your opponent to the point where their brain stops working or they ragequit. WIFOM is more temporary and actually makes sense.

edit: WIFOM is giving an argument with two logical and equally likely conclusions which just so happen to be mutually exclusive.

No, the former is acting with intent to confuse, the latter is guessing based on "would he or wouldn't he", which is futile.

They're really quite distinct and completely unrelated concepts.

Why are you restating the same old points, what are you trying to achieve? Because all it looks like to me is that you are getting the town on your side. After all, the game WILL be over soon if we continue to fail.

So either we have to get it right, or the "vig" does. Why would you vote Tailless ATPG? IF he killed in private who he said he did, AND there was another nightkill on a different night target... and the others can only kill once per night. It's almost guarenteed he is innocent here. Turq's post is safe, something that we cannot afford to be, we must take risks to win here. It's tempting to vote for him here.
