Small Modding Problem

I'm just learning how to mod, and I've experimented by making a few small changes to vanilla FfH with Kael's editor, with complete success (after something of a small learning curve). I have just started to make a small change to FF--making Falamar agnostic--but the game crashes while loading. I get an error message about failing to load one of the XML files. Can anyone offer some ideas?

We aren't really compatible with the XML editor. Everyone around here uses Notepad++ and directly edits the XML files.

Yes, I did--thanks for both of you for helping me; I had problems with FF, so I tried modding the vanilla mod to see what would happen, which gave me (at first) different problems until I used the editor. Regarding FF, I'll try these suggestions.

Yeah, notepad++ worked perfectly! I was using xmlnotepad before, I would never have imagined in a million years that it was the culprit. Thanks a million

You must do yourself a favor. Get Notepad++. It is free and great!

Oddly enough - I still use TextPad - Notepad++ is too slow for my tastes
