^ Not only Russians got wrong cuirassiers. same goes to Prussians.
Basically 'American Cuirassiers' should be Prussians. and since all of them are elites. they should wear white uniforms with red trimmings.
The American 'own' 'Cuirassiers' did not wear cuirass... sadly. in fact they wore no armor at all. and the only known cavalry forces in North America are all dragoons. and following classic dragoon traditions rather than line cavalry.

Cuirassiers are misnomer actually. the better name should be Line Cavalry.

^ Mexican Linear Infantry. and they're not really what they wear when facing Americans.
and no longer replaced by Soldaderas?

^ Prussian Line Infantry under Charlemagne's leadership. but this is not Napoleonic era Prussian Army, this uniform was originally British Redcoats, and then adopted by US Army by 1810. (Americans should instead wore these uniforms actually)

Here. their uniforms are much simpler. and by 1815 (Waterloo) they even used looted the same shakoes as French Army (with different emblems of course!)
