[R&F] Small things you have noticed on playing

So I just noticed that I found the eye of Sahara and a goody hut in the same turn and the goody hut produced something different. Hopefully the goody hut find bug is fixed.

Post anything you like/notice, would be a nice thread for info

EDIT: Also no quest on CS banner EDIT: Ah no its just moved to the strength but does not always show

It is from the XML.
I'll have a look later, one is rather happy with ones new toy cyurrently and wants to play!

There does seem to be a large amount of goody huts early now also
 
The CS banner does list the quest on occasion (don't know why not always). It's up by the combat strength number.
 
The biggest thing i noticed while playing as Korea is that i heard more from shaka`s soundtrack then my own nation (which is beautifull by the way).
It is like the game taunted me. Remembering Shaka is my neighour and i should fear him at all time. Lucky for me there is a mountain choke and i`ve got it covered.

Another thing that bothered me is that every nation i met (4 of them) hates me. Wilhelmina made this pretty clear on the first turn i met her.
All reasons are unknown so i`ve got no idea whats going on. I was hoping to at least make one allience with a neighbouring civ.
This might just be happening to me on my game and not have any effect on other games.

Korea`s unique campus is rediculously powerfull as expected. I`m 9th civ out of 10 on score. And i am number 2nd on science per turn and techs unlocked.

do you play with barbs on or dissabled?
 
First I thought it's too easy to get golden ages, but that might have been because the Cree have both uniques in the ancient era and you get score for those. Now the Classical Era is ending, and I'm about to go from a golden to a dark age.

EDIT Removed imagined bug, my stupidity

I just chopped a what field early for 90 food thanks to Magnus :), great pop growth

On my current game the AI settles in good spots most of the time. I’ve spotted 2 settlers. Both not protected but they did settle on solid spots. I’ll keep track on unsupported setlers in future games. On my current game i’m about one city behind the average ai player. Playing on immortal. I did settle a bit more agressive then usual (1 extra city as strategic land grab) Should be 1,5-2 cities behind normally.
 
Now the GP space projects rush is no longer available.
All late space project cannot overflow by GP
(ModifierId = GREATPERSON_GRANT_PRODUCTION_IN_CITY_LATE_SPACE_RACE KeepOverflow=false)
Royal society provides 3% production of the project cost for each charge of builder. It consumes all charges but only once (one builder sacrificed) per turn.
Now maybe we can only count on chopping trees to achieve fast science victory.:cry:
(During my test, Magnus is very, very powerful for SV. Each tree can provide 700~800 production with him for only +100% from GP, no other bonus. So each space project only need 2~3 trees, and the overflow can still keep to the next project. EXTREME CASE: Each tree can provide 200 * 2[governor Magnus] * (1 + 100%*3[Information Scientist & Engineer] + 20%*2[Atomic Engineer] + 20%[HongKong suzerain] + 15%[policy]) = 1900 production in late game)

The internal names of government plaza buildings are very interesting:
GOV_TALL = Audience Chamber
GOV_WIDE = Ancestral Hall
GOV_CONQUEST = Warlord's Throne
GOV_CITYSTATES = Foreign Ministry
GOV_SPIES = Intelligence Agency
GOV_FAITH = Grand Ministers Chapel
GOV_MILITARY = War Department
GOV_CULTURE = National History Museum
GOV_SCIENCE = Royal Society

So I have taken Hattin and it will soon revolt despite having a governor however I am about to take another city and am 1 turn from a golden age. One suspects the value of an early scout is a LOT more for early conquest now.
If I was approaching a dark age I would just abandon the city rather than futily try to change it

So the thing is, when attacking someone and doing well and going into a golden age, they can at the same time go into a dark age like Saladin has just done. One turn later Hatrtin has gone from -3.2 to +15.5.
The "Other Effects" specified here is down to the +2 loyalty for garrison card

I have cities with 1 & 2 happiness, both are +3 loyalty for it so looks like a flat value perhaps?
EDIT: Nope ... +3 for happy, +6 for ecstatic

I just had an enemy archer move out of a city into my archers range nd replace it with a spearman, so mutch for the patch.
