OOC I know none of you will probably bother to read all this crap, but for the sake of storytelling here it goes.
Note: Ajajmuu Islam is a much more brutal religion than real Islam, just for future reference if you actually bother to read all this.
As Ajaj citizens intermingle with African tribespeople, many mixed children are born. They are called nuhuntar, or mixed in the Ajaj tongue. One of these such chilldren, the son of an Ajaj man and an African woman, is born in 2156 B.C. He is named Buntar.
From the beginning of his life Buntar was seen as different, in a good way. He was a natural leader, and often led his young friends on adventures into the African wilderness. As he grew up, he became very interested in philosophy. He was an ambitious young man, and at age 17 he left his parents and his village to travel 75 miles to the city of Arabaz to go to a university. There he studied philosophy and the arts. He also witnessed the strict lifestyles of the religious Ajaj people, and wondered why they dedicated their way of life to Allah, whom he considered to be fictional.
As he made friends, he began to see how they were subjected to rigorous worship and punished if they acted against the ways of Islam. Night after night, he started to develop his own philosophy on how people should live their lives. He believed that an individual should seek to better their way of life, as long as it does not disturb that of other citizens. He believed that the people should not be prisoners of a high deity for their whole of existance. He believed that something should be done to stop the brutal torture that occured if one so much as slightly violated a law of Islam. He believed that the nation of Ajaj could do better, muct better, if it were not the slave of some (he thought) nonexistant godly being. In short, he believed in revolution.
Buntar spread the word to his friends, who being the younger generation, were much more radical than their strictly religious parents. They were all fascinated, and agreed to support him with their life. They, in turn, spread the word to all their friends, and soon Buntar had arranged an army of nearly every young man and woman in Arabaz. They agreed to attack the small garrison of military troops in the city center on the night of June 2, 2135 B.C., a day that would go down in Ajaj history. The attack was highly successful, Buntar's army having the element of surprise and being armed with weapons of superior quality than those of the troops (little attention was given to the defense of Arabaz, as the Ajaj had never experienced any resistance in the Sinai Peninsula, where the city is located). Every soldier was either killed or captured.
From Arabaz, the Buntarists (as they were now being called) launched a campaign against the capital of Ajarbaz. As word spread of revolution, many other cities began revolting against their clerics. A 6 year long civil war followed, with Buntar finally laying seige to Ajarbaz and ousting the King and Queen. That day, victory was proclaimed for the new religion of Buntarism.
In the aftermath, Buntar and his several hundred thousand followers rebuilt the nation, providing food to the poor and hungry. He appointed local lords to oversee each city and declared Ajaj a Republic, where new rulers would be elected on their leadership skills rather than their family blood. He encouraged subsistance farming where possible, to decrease dependancy on government food.
The elders were still allowed to practice Ajajmuu Islam, but after they died out Islam went with them. For now on, Ajaj was a Buntarist state. But the question remained: would Buntar lead the Ajaj to a glorious new age, or go the way of Fidel Castro? Only time would tell.
Another note: No, I am not copying Amon Savag's recent action in RTOR, I have been cooking this up for the past several days.
Orders: Change religion to Buntarism, and government to Early Republic.
Begin training army, expand in all directions mainly into the Arabian Peninsula.
