[NFP] So, May 21st.

12:00 PM is....... midnight? Noon? As in, are you contradicting @Vizurok or agreeing with him?

That's why the civilized parts of the world use the 24 hour notation. :p

So if the livestream is only at 20:00 CEST tomorrow, nearly the whole holiday of the 21st will probably be ‘lost’ for Europe, as the dlc will hardly go live before the stream. It may be already 22nd here when it releases.

Ed Beach tweeted this just now:

"New Frontier Pass launches at midnight tonight (Eastern Daylight Time). Only 12 hours from now. Will be available for purchase and immediate download then. Be one of the first to check out the Maya and Gran Colombia civs!"

So the DLC will be available tonight Wednesday, May 20 at midnight EST.

Actually if it was May 20 midnight, it would've released by now.

It's May 21st Midnight.

However we put it, referring to midnight will always be murky. So to be safe, let's just say that NFP will be realeased at
  • 21:00 PT (May 20)
  • 05:00 GMT (May 21)
  • 06:00 CET (May 21)
Anyqays, eastern Time players will be put in a somewhat awkward situation as midnight might be a little too late to start up a new civ game - West Coast players will have most of the evening, Europeans can start fresh in the early morning.

The tug between Civ 6 dlc and Total War: Warhammer dlc is strong but if Civ is out first I can plough into that until Warhammer around 15:00 BST
Yep I'm in exactly the same boat haha

More excited about the WH2 DLC really but if Civ is coming out in the morning... ehh well I guess I could try to push through one playthrough until the evening and then switch? Maybe?

They should release patch notes right now, like what is the Point of all this secrecy?

They're rather inconsistent with patch notes. Sometimes it's beforehand. Sometimes they make a big video production out of it. Sometimes they don't release anything until the patch hits.

Since there's no pre-order, you technically can't buy the NFP until the patch and its notes are released anyway. So @Sugasi 's threat is quite toothless.

Will tonight's release affect current saved games? Asking for a friend. I haven't been able to concentrate enough on a game the last few days, just too impatient for the Mayans.

At this point I just want to see if there's been any rebalancing of Civs and the like. Sifting through the patch notes is always a fun bit.

I wont buy it without patch notes.

I also want to know about the personas for America and France as that is the only thing you can't buy individually. I wonder if there is a cut off to buy the season pass or whether you could wait to see what all the content is before deciding to but it.

You can release a patch without notes and i want to do my decision after this notes. For me has CIV 6 still a bad AI, the relationship system is also broken and it has some mp game breaking bugs.
So it is no threat it is my decision to wait until notes are available

Normally on steam a season pass can be bought whenever you want. It's just a bundle of DLC basically.

I played a few TW:WH1 campaigns a few years ago, and just yesterday finished my first TW:WH2 campaign, a High Elf one that took like 40 freaking hours. I think I want to play Lizardmen next, but don't own either of the Lizardmen DLC (made the mistake of not buying any of the High Elf DLC so I didn't have several units...). Hoping they go on sale to coincide with the patch/new DLC.
