So why can't 20% of Americans find their country on a world map?

How can they find it if they don't have maps? I wouldn't be surprised if a 1/5 of americans don't have atlases and what not .

ive studied geography in school, but if you have ever even seen a damn weather report on the news then you should know what America looks like. I just don't see how we can get off saying it has to do with not teaching geography in school.
I realy thing that for us to consider a poll used in a question for a beuty patgent, to even be 50% accurate, is the only thing idiotic about this.
