i failed seljuk domination victory with vikramaditya+shahanshah titles strategy, some hindustan province don't convert in border after adoption hinduism=(
I attacked Iraq directly from start with the Berber Cavalries and I was lucky to find barbarian controlled Kufah, I took it and indy Wasit and hired every merc I could get my hands on. With my combined forces I took Baghdad, Ahvaz and Basra from the Buyids.
The Makurians vassalised to me and the crusaders spawned and got stomped by me and my new vassal Zengids. I regrouped and built Heavy Lancers to counter the Mongols, who were easily repelled, the Seljuks weren't so lucky and I conquered all their lands up to Khwarezmia. Meanwhile Cilicia, Sindh and Karaman vassalised too and I got the victory relatively early, although I feel there is still plenty of room for improvement.
This was just a nice game that ended in a domination victory, so it was far from par performance. The strategy is quite simple, catch up in tech, wait the Mongols to raid Iran and Iraq and sweep in after them.
Vassals were Malwa, Sindh, Bahmani and Safavids.
Oman's tech situation is horrible in the beginning and it takes quite long to catch up, which makes domination really slow:

I was playing as them and about 5% from victory in 1490s, but the no Golden Age from GPs bug made me quit, because I would've wanted the buff before Safavids spawn.
Jusos, I can fix your save if you want (update alone won't fix it until a new game), though without latest SVN update it will break again after a new tech is discovered.
Here's the fixed save. To prevent the bug from happening again in the same game, use latest SVN version or download only CvRFCEventHandler.py and put it in Sword of Islam/Assets/Python.
I founded my first cities on the apple and horses with minimum overlapping. The Apple city was my Monaspa Lancer and later Heavy Lancer mill with Heroic Epic and five settled GGs. So yeah, level four Heavy Lancers in the end.
Anyways, after the Mongols I made the big push towards Anatolia, which ended in capitulating the Ottomans, after this I also capitulated Antiochia and Ak Kouynly and Ayyubids. After that I took Iraq and amassed my forces against the Mamluks, who capitulated as well after taking Cairo and crushing their armies. Meanwhile I also fought off the Safavids and denyed their flip. Then I continued towards the Steppes and won the game after collapsing Timurids and capitulating the Khanate of Bukhara.
Ak Kouynly depends a lot of the starting situation. This time Iraq was full of Castles, but Antiochia was available, since PoA had collapsed and Byzantine defended it lightly, and most importantly Dvin was Barbarian, which meant fast access to Horses. Ak Koynly's economy is crap in the beginning, so I turned the slider to zero to maintain all the mercs that I bought. And I literally bought all mercs for the next 130 years or so. At the highest my merc upkeep was about 70gpt. But capturing rich Iraq and pillaging towns in Anatolia keeps the cash flowing and I was able to tech Mechanical Engineering and Blast Furnace pretty quickly, after which I beelined Syncretism for Religious Freedom and, by-product, the Topkapi Palace.
After taking Iraq, Northern Levant and Armenia, I faced the Safavids and capitulated tehm quickly. Then I built my forces against the Ottomans, whom I intented to capitulate, but since they refused to surrender, I ended up conquering all of Anatolia. Meanwhile I was also expanding to inner Iran and culture bombing the lands there. After beating the Ottomans into submission and taking Constantinople and Brusa, for peace, I focused my troops against the Mamluks, who had vassalised Georgia and Ottomans, after the peace of course. I begun to roll down the Levant and didn't get further than Domiyat and Jerusalem, when the land goal was fulfilled.
Mazar-e Sharif (1E) is a lot better capital than Balkh, so founded it and sent the second settler to found Khavakend 2E and 1N from the stone in Farghana. This solution allows you to build the Spiral Minaret before the Abbasids, which is crucial, since that's pretty much all the extra cash within your reach. Marv became the GP factory. I took Herat and Zaranj early, since I will have to deny the Seljuk flip anyway. I also sent a settler towards future Gwadar. Ghaznavids spawned and I destroyed one of their settler parties and signed peace. Karakhanids were fought off in the meantime.
Seljuks and Khwarezmia spawned and I kept them in order while teching towards HHAs, which I got around 1150, so there was plenty of time to prepare for the mongols. Around this time I also took Kerman and Yazd. After the Mongols were quite easily repelled with skirmish HHAs and few catapults, I declared war on Seljuks and vassals Abbasids and Ghaznavids. I timed the war so that the massive Seljuk stack was on the plain next to Estafan and I took it out without losses, which was the death blow to Seljuks. Ghaznavids, who also controlled Ghorid's former land, faced similar treatment and I razed Farah, which had cut my empire in two. Ghaznavids collapsed first and I made peace with Seljuks for Hamadan after taking Estafan, Tehran, Gorgan, Bastum and Mashhad. Meanwhile my other faster army had taken Basrah, Ahvaz, Wasit and Kufah. Seljuks collapsed pretty quickly and I took rest of their cities and Abbasdis followed soon after and I took Baghdad, after which I just focused on grabbing the land quickly.
