Some Berber Units

If you don't mind, Bakuel, I'll also throw in even more promises that you made - the Byzantine and Vietnamese renaissance units. :mischief:

I wonder if you have written down a list of all the stuff you may never ever finish? :p

C'mon, we don't want to overload him with a bunch of work at once. I don't want to wait forever for his Iberians... I gotta replace my crappy ones with them!

Although I would say that those units you mentioned would be better than two workers. No offense to cool of course.

cybrxkhan, I actually haven't forgotten about those at all, I still have the art you provided for them in a folder. :p I really keep up with all the requests and obligations I need to fulfill in my head, that way I can forget them as needed.

Seriously though, the only real factor in me fulfilling a request that I have agreed to is time. If after two to four months I haven't fulfilled it, I have probably forgotten it and you are free to remind me as needed.

Don't worry Capo, with any luck, the Spaniards, Portuguese, and Renaissance Berbers will be done in three or so weeks and so should the Hungarian and Hunnish ancient workers. The Byzantine and Vietnam Renaissance packs may or may not be done at the same time depending on how real life treats me.

Hey Bakuel, I've heard you mention a few times that you keep around prototype units that you were working on and stuff like that. I saw how many units you had here and I was thinking of splitting them up into three or four sets for modules and civs in my mod. I have a Berber set (obviously), and I sort of have an Arab, Andalusian, and Moorish set together as well. I was just wondering if you had any models, weapons, or accessories you had unused from this set I could use to try to round the sets out a bit.

I really don't think I have anything left over this time. Lately when making units if I have something left over I will usually just go the extra mile and release it as well even if it doesn't fit into the normal vanilla set of units since many modders have extra units that need art anyway, so I generally don't have much unused stuff anymore.

That's cool. Just figured It's worth a shot.

Anyway can't wait to see what you come up with for the Iberians, I'm really looking forward to it. For that GG you might want to base him on either the Count-Duke of Olivares or Francisco Pizarro (although I don't suggest using the Wikipedia image of Pizarro as a base), I think Cortes may be more well-known, but I think these guys would have more pizazz as a unit. :goodjob:

Hmmm... that would be roughly the time when my exams are over. When I have time again for modding...

What to say ? WOW !!! and ... amazing ( as usually ) ;)

You are a real wizard with your units and I use many of them in my mod for all this quality design that should be an example to follow for every unit creator ! :D

Bravo and thanks for these new units :cool:

I'm already at work to include some of these wonderful berber units in my mod.

Middle-East units are a weakness in my Mod since I didn't made enough difference between sumer, persia, arabia, etc ... And as I have to make a fast update ( because of CulturalCityStyle of GeoModder ), time is coming faster than planned to adapt my ME units ...

Thanks again ! :lol:

Thanks for the comments guys!

@esvath
Go ahead and remake them into whatever you want, just give me a bit of credit when you upload them. :)

@Acronym2
Modeling for civ4 hasn't cost me a cent yet! I just can't stay away from such a cheap hobby for long. :D

Alright, fantastic, now back to work!!! :crackswhip:

I know I am late, but was on vacation until now.

Great units as usual, looking forward to the spanish and renaissance berbers and will probably wait for those before releasing the next version of my mod - of course this means I now have to add a Berber civ :D

Speaking of a Berber civ, I guess I should throw out my Berber CotW before it's too late. :D

It's good to hear from you mamba! I thought you had stopped modding for a while there. The other batch of units should be done in about two weeks from now so you shouldn't have to wait *too* long (hopefully anyway).

@ cybrxkhan
I'll third that there guesswork.

I did take a break because real life got in the way, but have been back for a while now. This is the first set of units you did release since I returned (you were on hiatus quite a while too), so this might be why you notice it now ;)

No need to hurry, I tend to release a new version when enough 'stuff' (units, leaders, etc.) has accumulated, so I am not on any tight schedule :)

I just wanted to announce that I have just uploaded some Berber units,

Berber Middle Age Unit Pack (North Africa)

I did not see the bedouin crossbowman in this pack, even though he is in the pic. Did you forget to include it ?

Oops! Good catch, I did forget to upload it. Redownload the pack and it should be in there now.
