I didn't get around to finishing the Polynesian middle age pack. I also didn't finish those Persian horse archers which were requested, but I'll probably finish both of these in the next two weeks or so.

Don't forget to post and tell me if there is anything wrong, what you like, what you hate or anything else.

Wow... You've done it again, Bakuel! I really have to keep resisting the urge to put in 2nd UUs or 3rd UUs or 4th UUs in my mod... I'll be eagerly awaiting your polynesian Moai Statue Mech Armored Robot Tank. :p

Oh, and after the medieval Polynesians, what's next?

Thanks Flintlock1415! :)

@avain
I'm glad you like them avain, I do plan to make an early Hussar and the worker eventually. :)

@cyberxkhan,
Thanks for the kind words, after the medieval Polynesians (and some other units such as those Persian Horsearchers and the Hungarian Hussars and worker) I'll probably make some viking units.

Very well done, Bakuel. Thank you! I hope you make at least the worker...

Actually, in all seriousness, and not to force more work on you, but besides the Tiki Robot/Tank, is there any chance you might be making Vietnamese units in the future?

Hey Bakuel, nice units, will there be medieval Polynesians too in two weeks ? :D

@cool3a2, Don't worry, I fully intend to finish the worker.:)

@mamba, Yes, they would have been finished this week though, but something came up... Nonetheless, the bi-weekly releases will continue! ;)

cybrxkhan, I could make some Vietnamese units in the future, actually I was already planning on making some eventually. The only problem with Vietnamese units is that I have trouble finding art work of warriors... Besides the Annamese kingdom line-up at DBA Online,
http://www.dbaol.com/armies/army_71_figure_1.htm

I have little idea what Vietnamese ancient and medieval units would look like. You could help me by providing some pictures. :mischief:

Also, making civ units is one of my hobbies, I enjoy and tend not to think of it as work. Having said that, you'll have to wait a long while before I can get to Tiki Tanks. :p

Unfortunately, it is actually not that easy to find pictures on historical Vietnamese, because anything on Vietnam these days will have to do with and only with the "Vietnam War", which I find extremely annoying as a Vietnamese because we had more history besides that.

Anyhow, here are some random pics that may help for your future-way-down-the-line Vietnamese units:

- I know this is very small and hard to see, but... Its a picture of the Trung Sisters, i.e. Vietnam's national heroes and symbol. I think this could work for Vietnamese War Elephants http://www.lookatvietnam.com/vietnam-news-images/2009/01/images1710700_1.jpg

- Here's another picture, although it is kind of cartoony... This is probably early medieval, I think. http://www.freespeechforvn.com/lythuongkiet.JPG

Personally, your best bet for looking up ancient Vietnamese units is to look up the "Dong Son Drums", the drums of which had slightly abstract pictures of Vietnamese people, animals, etc.. The only problem is that as these are not exactly the most realistic of Bronze Age drawings, it may be hard to figure out what the people really looked like.

Here's an example of what I mean:

- Dong Son deities. they had some kind of feathery dresses and are holding spears http://lh6.ggpht.com/_PzmogWIWK_U/R_7lsxO0fCI/AAAAAAAAAJ0/VWuPPC3Xmxo/Dong Son deity (1).JPG

- Here's another one; you can sort of make out the warriors and their weapons, but it is extremely hard to figure out whether they have any clothing on. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_PzmogWIWK_U/R_7lpRO0e5I/AAAAAAAAAIs/WqOD-Vj6ZKw/ThuyenDongSon.JPG

That ends my confusing mass of links, and I hope they can help somehow.

Thanks cybrxkhan!

But for some odd reason I was not able to see the pictures of the drums, I get a

Fantastic work Bakuel! As usual!

The Polynesians look great, I can't wait to get started on a module for them! Excellent job. :goodjob:

Bakuel; I thought you said something about Phoenician/Carthagianian units and Nubian units. I was just wondering if this was still planned or if you have decided not to do them now (since you are doing the Vikings next)?

I'm glad you like the units Capo! :)

I still plan to make some units for Carthage and Nubia, I am still follow my plan,
Next up is Hungary/Polynesian units (I have a week off coming up and I plan to finish both of these), after that some Viking units, Holy Roman Empire (Frankish style ancient age, middle ages I haven't decided), then probably some Chinese units (killing two birds with one stone), Greece, Carthage, Nubia, and everything else is up in the air.

If you need some Carthage or Nubian units, I can probably start making them sooner after I'm done with the vikings instead of the Holy Roman Empire (which, I must admit, I am not that hyped over). I've been reading Livy's account on Hannibal recently anyway, so it may be appropriate. You'll probably still have to wait a month or two though.

Its fine, do whatever you want. Basically I made a mod a while ago, so I am going to do a new version of it (now that I know a lot more about modding) and I was going to make two versions. One that has all of my modules (I have over thirty) that I made for my mod as part of it (for better computers) and one that doesn't have the modules in them but they can be added at the player's choosing (for those with slower computers, like mine LOL). The first pack I made had Hungary, Phoenicia, Nubia and the Tuetonic Order. I plan on upgrading all of my modules for re-release and I figured I'd just wait on your Nubian and Carthaginian units (I was going to either use your Carthage units for Phoenicia or reskin them or something) in order to do that. But at this rate I am still working on my current module pack (Haiti, Assyria, Puerto Rico, Siam, Philippenes, and Apache) and after that I still have to make the new mod. So this is going to be a while anyway.

So in summary, go ahead and take your time I just wanted to know what you were doing because so far I am going to use all of your units in the mod (every civ will have flavored units, I am adding spy promos, new religions, inquisitors, new flags and colors for certain civs, nearly fifty new leaders for existing civs, two new civs with a total of five new leaders for them [in addition to the 30+ modules I will have], an expanded future era, some new maps and scenarios, and more). So obviously it is going to be a while, I just wanted to coordinate this with what you are doing so I can use your stuff.

Bakul, I gathered some good pics (8 pics, with armor and weapons also) of the early hussar and packed them in a 7z, if you could make it according to these pics, that would be awesome:

Thanks avain! These will be very useful!

Did Hungarians in the same period use musketman/handgunners? If so, I could create a musketman to go with the hussar.

I'd say that when Eger was sieged by the Turks in 1552 they used gunpowder-based weapons that can be comprehended with early musketmen (kind of hungarian pendant to musketmen maybe). I am sure they already had cannons. But honestly said I am not too familiar with hungarian military history (in sense of when they used which weapons etc). Otherwise one could base a musketman on Rákóczis time, I think. That would be okay for my purposes.

EDIT: Oh, okay, avain already answered.
