There are quite a few late game units I'd like to see added to the later eras. None of them are necessary, but that doesn't make me want them any less. They are...

Stealth Bombers - look cool, should have really long range and the ability to avoid interception.
Stealth Fighters - look cool, should have the ability to avoid interception.
Helicopter Gunships - Hueys are cool and all, but Hinds or Apaches feel more appropriate for the Information Era.
Special Forces - a late-game upgrade for the Scout/Ranger
Paratroopers and Marines - these units were fun to play around with in Civ5 and gave us options on how we utilized infantry when going to war

That's it. If these units find their way into the game I'll consider myself content.

Re: units, the entire mechanic needs to be looked at I think. Placing individual units into cookie cutter classes takes away from their individuality. Helicopters for example aren't helicopters. They are just cavalry ('light' cavalry at that). They don't act like helicopters. They act like horses. I'm surprised helicopters don't require horses to build given the lack of effort that went into making them unique...

I support all of these suggestions. More late game units would be nice, and I also loved the opportunities of having paratroopers or marines and hope they'll find their way back into Civ6!
And gunships as tank busters of course!

Thanks for the lol, but you are right.
Helicopters really need some more attention and unique abilities like being able to hover over lake and coastal tiles, as already proposed in another thread.
