Some Questions...

I am getting the basics down pretty good and even doing well on noble level (not great but getting there). But there are some questions I have.

  • Is there a detailed analysis of income? I know about the financial advisor but it just lists income from taxes but doesn't tell me how much is coming from religion shrines, religion bonuses, trade, trade improvements, etc.. Which brings me to my next question...
  • Can someone explain the trading system? I see that my cities automatically setup their own trade routes but isn't there options for making them more effective and numerous?
  • Only one power source for my factories is helpful, right? They are not cumulative... or are they?
  • When more than one unit in a stack is an upgraded medic, does the percentage bonus (10%) add together? So my units, theoretically, could heal 100% faster?
  • With the marketplace building it adds 25% bonus to that cities income, is that gross income or net?

Just some little things I couldn't find the answers for. Thanks!

here's the answers for the parts i know;

only one source of power will give you the 25% production bonus on factories (or whatever the percentage is), coal, hydro, nuclear etc cannot stack.

medic healing also doesnt stack.

  • You know about the tool tip thing? Where you hold the mouse over an item and it gives more info? I have done this with money going out, but have not tried it with money comeing in.

    You can increase the number with wonders (great lighthouse?) techs (Corperation?) and a civic (Merchantism?). You can increase the value with a harbour.

    Again, you can look at the tool tip over city income. It (like all the other modifyer) is a mutliplyer on the base income. ie. if you produce 100 base commerce, at 100% tax rate, the market will give you 25 extra coins (no mater what else the city has).
 
ehm does this meaan that if you have your science slider at 100% thus tax at 0% a market place/bank etc has no point at all?
 
Bank - Yes, it does nothing

Market place - still gives you extra health or happiness, no effect on the commerce.
