SonIOT I: For All the Marbles

Yes... a Silk Road across the Sahara. Those borders are absolutely hideous and offend the eyes.

Yoshi, you've mlteld ms br;znnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Do you guys mind if I join? I was thinking about joining in the place of Italy or the Australia, not sure which would be more fun though.

Considering I'm about to start settling Italy, no thanks to my area of expansion in Africa being cut down to roughly a third of what I wanted by Yoshi, it would be safer for you to pick Australia. Unless you're fine with me having Venice and the most southern parts of Italy, anyway.

Well I had figured being right in the middle of everything would cause war, but I never played this game before so I might choose Australia. I'll just be so far away from everyone else.

War is not fun when you are fighting against one of the most economically powerful countries in the game. As them, though... :mischief:

I'm always willing to sell territory :mischief:

Obvious powergame is obvious. Isn't there serious punishments for doing such a thing?

Given how ugly those borders are (and Mech knows from Iron and Blood how much I hate ugly borders), there'll be a subtle, serious penalty for such actions. ;)

Orders locked.

Dot, I'll add you to the spreadsheet this turn. Just tell me where you want to be in Australia when you can.

After thousands of years of warring the tribes of the Gold Coast were united under Edgar Longbeard to form the Kingdom of Fehlrend. These people revere and worship Kangaroos.

Something tells me that I should have just expanded logically and normally :p

Update 5
Kick in the door....

Orders due Friday.

Trade Update

I won't set up external trade routes naturally anymore nor determine whether they're minor/moderate/major. For now on, players should sign trade agreements which A.) Determine which routes are opened and B.) The level of those trades (Minor, Moderate, or Major). Note, the more powerful the route, the bigger the chance of disease spreading on it or new ideas....

Commentary

Spoiler :
Global

Trade is still rocketing but maybe too fast? Many cultures are resting on a bubble, including the powerful Targaryen Empire. Meanwhile, a new threat to cities has been born in Berbera.

The Plague! It destroys only 1 LP this turn but it can spread on trade routes so be careful!
-------------

Creating a city costs 57 LPs this turn and are worth 14 LPs.
Upgrading a city to being a Trade Center costs 44 LPs this turn.

DoubleA, Celt, RS: 3 free XPs
Mechaerik, Mosher, Gamez: 2 free XPs

Europe

London is now the world's richest trade center but the sudden surge in trade has created a bubble for Snapir and the British. Targaryen also rests on a bubble.

Bering now rests on a bubble.

South America

Nothing major to note.

Africa

Somalia now rests on a bubble.

The Gold Coast has been found.

Correction: Missed Basque trade agreement, +3 LPs for the Basque, Targaryen, and Israel to spend on whatever this turn.

Err, for some reason, Targaryen and Somalia tried to do a land deal despite Targaryen not owning the land yet (it was merely claimed). So, that was ignored and I just pumped money into Somalia's countryside.
