SonRISK!

I personally think that is a poor tactic. Sure it may work sometimes, but it is not an honorable strategy.

HONOR?

<hysterical laughter>

Honor is a meaningless word in international politics, Mexico. "Play by rules, die by rules. Make your own rules, make your own world."

There is no cheating in war. Dishonor and Honor are just words.

How can his divisions have entered Ethiopia if he ordered them into the Indian Ocean. I know
movement can be secret but conflicting orders? Come on……

Conflicting and outright false movement orders have been posted since 1862 when France began to conquer Europe. It is work as desgined.
Furhtermore I ordered that if he would disembark in Ethiopia my fleets should move to the Arabian Sea. I think he ordered it via PM and I wouldn’t have known about it but again…. Conflicting orders, if the order to move the Siberian divisions to the Indian Ocean wouldn’t have been there I would have given different orders.

Again, this is an issue of "I'm going to send three or four orders to cover my ass". I can only do so much to accommodate "what-if's". Especially if other players thought of "what-ifs" as well because at some point, orders do get broken or slurred.

I placed 22 fleets in the Indian Ocean

Err, no. You used two VCs which can only be used for divisions. The roll ended up being deep in Siam's side of the RNG valley, meaning you would've lost and three fleets wouldn't have changed anything.

How the hell is this even possible? I played a Diplomat card on him… he wasn’t supposed to be able to attack me…

You attacked him. Your order was pretty much "attack Siberia first, then Siam". The problem is is that you had your fleets doing three or four things at once which is the exact reason why I ended up having to change the diplomat card since it was completely broken.

Shouldn’t this be three since I conquered three provinces: Arabia, Iraq and Turkey.

No. You had only two cards, you spent three putting you at -1. You conquered three, meaning you only have two. In the future, I will inflict heavy punishment on a player who spends more VCs then they have. USUALLY, I can point out the error but I will keep my deadlines.
I shouldn’t even had a divisions here…. I moved this to East Africa together with the divisions in Congo and the Sudan.

Actually, I said a while ago that I want orders, if PM'd, to ALL be in the same PM because there IS the possibility of conflicting orders. All your orders HAVE to be in the same post or PM or there is a risk of something being mistranslated. It takes me about an hour to place divisions and fleets since it involves me having two or three tabs open, my inbox open, Microsoft Word open, and Paint open.

I’m seriously contemplating a ragequite at this point since I just got so royally screwed…

Declare Congohad?

If you're gonna recalc the Indian Ocean naval battle, then maybe you should consider letting me and Siberia fighting side by side, considering we're allies and all.

He used a diplocard and his orders kinda pointed to him saying attack Siberia then attack you after taking care of Siberia.

well...yeah... I figured that much....

It's just something that came on top of all else... and at the moment I just felt really cheated... I'm still a bit annoyed by the conflicting orders thing but it's on the bottom of my grudges cause somewhere deep inside I can justify it (But I still don't think it's right....)

Tooltip for next time: Make absolutly sure all your orders are in the same PM and don't leave any room open for me to blame you. Especially after declaring that I WANT all orders in the same PM if I get a PM since conflicting orders were the main reason why updates were starting to take a tad longer.

allright I can agree with most of your arguments/explanations. I'm still a bit unsure about the dilpomatcard, since it was never mentioned an attack cancelled it, issue but you changed it and I will let it be. You're the GM your decisions is final.

that being said, I would like to raise one more issue

Err, no. You used two VCs which can only be used for divisions. The roll ended up being deep in Siam's side of the RNG valley, meaning you would've lost and three fleets wouldn't have changed anything.

you say I didn't receive the fleets because reinforcements are only for divisions. okay, fair enough... my problem here is that Siam did receive the 15 fleets due to reinforcement cards

Declare Congohad?

Don't really know what you mean but sorry for that...... lot on my mind and this was sort off the last drop.. was also the reason for that post...

That was because the response time was short because I didn't start sorting through orders until 6:30. I had to make a gut decision so I decided to count the order as four VCs, meaning he is technically in -1 VCs.

hmm... ok, can't say I like it but I'll accept it.

now let's see if Congo can conquer the world :D :p

An army in each of Poland and Livonia

I checked that with Sonereal, because my diplocard against you I could first attack Siberia while you couldn't interfere because you couldn't attack me. Afterwards I could attack your fleet and you could defend.

during that event my diplo card was actually used.

That sounds odd. Very, very odd.

hmm... ok, can't say I like it but I'll accept it.

My gut says no. Especially if Mexico continues to om nom nom America at the current rate.
