Every nation on Earth was at war for several years the past turn. World War I, or the Great War, ravaged Europe, with the Entente Powers of the United Empire, Austria, Spain, Kalmar, and the Salt Empire going against the Allied Powers of Slavia, Olafia, Turkey, Albania, and the Echidna Empire. Now, the war is over in Europe with exchanges of peace and friendship resuming as if nothing had happened. Slavia, Turkey, and Albania have all met their ends and now rest within various Entente Empires. The Echidnas, under the Caliphate of Aurora, rampage across Africa, where the Saltines have been left to die.
Further south, S. Africa has flexed its muscles, seizing huge swaths of land, with only Kenya able to challenge them, and even then, they lack the numbers and money to truly fight the South Africans. Kenya continues to petition the outside world for aid to preserve the balance, but will anybody give it?
Centaurium has conquered much of Oceania, working together with the Californians, who have built an empire stretching across the Pacific and into the Gulf of Mexico.
Only one power remains docile - Enerjak. As such, some have publicly questioned what the dreadlocked overlord is planning, alas, he says there is no plans for Knuckles sandwiches to be served. But only time will tell...

Economic Boom - 2 occurrences
This represents a boost of +50 gold to your income.
Kenya and Belgium!
Flawed Research - 1 occurrence
Removes 50 TC from your country! Always targets your most advanced tech, and will be biased against your focus.
Kalmar. It hits their in-progress Army, so no effects.
Scientific Diffusion
Scientific Diffusion, an event all countries get sans the most advanced. 20% of the most advanced nation's lead on their closest opponent is given to all states as TC.
Enerjak is at Tech 59. Japan are at 56. 450 Tech lead = 90 TC to all.
Casus Belli
Island Confederacy had a border dispute with Liberia over some fishing rights. Oh dear...
Revolts:
S. Africa has a revolt of 41% due to successful Sow Discontent, and rolls a 6. As such, 27 Provinces revolt - many of them Belgian nationalists seeking to rejoin the motherland. Kenya's strategy of consuming S. Africa's resources seems to have worked!
16 Belgians revolt. Remember, rebels are equally trained as you for simplicity's sake. 12 of the revolts are successful! In other words, S. Africa just lost 17.9% of its empire. What makes the revolt important is it SAVES the African war effort - Darfur, the scientific backer of the Alliance, was within range of S. Africa's armies with how far in they were.
Belgium ironically also has a revolt, a S. African fifth column. Only 1 province rebels. They destroy one Belgian army and soon retreat across the border, joining up with the S. African army.
Succession:
No events.
Superpowers:
There are five categories - Base Income, Trade Income, Provinces, Army Quality, Army Numbers. The states that win in each category are the 5 superpowers.
-Base Income: Enerjak dominates. What did you expect from a big, buff spiny anteater named KNUCKLES?
-Trade Income: Due to the war, Auroran Caliphate has taken Salt Empire's spot as the most wealthy trading nation.
-Provinces: Austria gets this at 58 provinces due to Enerjak already being a superpower.
-Army Quality: Spain's conquest of the Turks and Albania has enriched them into superpower status, dissolving the alliance with the Turks. Could the European Entente fragment into a Cold War between these two juggernauts?
-Numbers: S. Africa, at 100 units, is on top of the arms race.
Remember that superpowers cannot form PUs, guarantees, alliances, or defensive pacts with eachother.
Notes/Misc.:
-The Confederacy of Island States petitions for entry into the European Entente in the interest of peace, citing close trading and diplomatic relations that are already had.
Kalmar - United Empire, Habsburgs, Spain
United Empire - Kalmar, Habsburgs, Spain
Habsburgs - United Empire, Kalmar, Salt Empire (Alliance)
Spain - United Empire, Kalmar
Oriental Protection and Economic Cooperation (OPEC)
Habsburg research increases Military to 26, Civics to 16 and Economy to 20. That should cost approximately 700 gold/TC, leaving a little over 60 gold in the Wien vault.
South Africa is allegedly flesh-coloured, but I don't see the colour on the map.
Research Civics 10 and 11. Then remove Kenya from the game. With what is remaining, remove Belgium. If I still have anything left, leave it in reserve until all other threats are gone then invest the remainder in civics if I still need it.
Austria reminds the chaps in dark red (rather than burgundy) that if they remain at war with the Salt Empire, the allies of the Habsburg Empire, there remains sufficient casus belli for intervention if the Saltines require it.
Actually.. We ask the Spanish to hurry up and transfer that tech, please. Also, we ask that they and our allies the Hapsburg Empire interfere in the war vs. the new Caliphate.
wouldn't do much good here. the Caliphate has 1127 gold, and can outspend you regardless of what you do. there is a peace agreement last page. read it and accept it cause i cant interfere.
Not to mention all the European allies have signed a peace treaty... not only would they get +10% for a war of aggression, but they'd ALSO be breaking the peace treaty, which counts as a 5-turn Non-Aggression Pact.
That said, to make this more amusing, I'll consider alliances to apply after the fact, unlike defensive pacts, which only trigger if you're attacked.

The African War continues to hinge on Kenya to do the fighting and Darfur to do the research. If either falls, it will be the end of Africa as we know it.
However, while the new "beef up Kenya" strategy has worked wonders in stalling the S. African forces, it hasn't turned them back entirely. Such Congolese revolts should not be expected to occur again, and Africa must therefore not waste its second chance at life.
S. Africa has 796 gold to throw at Kenya, but Kenya has superior training and can also raise armies for 20% cheaper thanks to Liberia's aid.
For its first battle, S. Africa orders the conquest of a province protected by 4 units. The airforce is dispatched, and is surprised to see the Kenyans have raised a defensive air force themselves! The battle begins until all fighters are wiped out in traditional 1-25 format, with Kenya's superior armed forces enjoying +2.
4-6. However, the fighters can't just land... they must defeat all 6 remaining Kenyan forces!

...and they don't. S. Africa's airforce is destroyed sans on squadron that never left the ground.
The African government decides not to take any more losses and instead focuses on conventional warfare. The troops will just have to deal with Kenyan bombers going overhead.
The War Ministry, seeing this going nowhere and Kenya still having an enormous treasury - 431 - to spend against S. Africa's humbled 226, suggests invading Madagascar. Conquering the island would boost the state's resources, and from there, fortified defenses could hold off the Kenyans. Defeating the Kenyans seems impossible because their backers are too numerous - their allies must be destroyed first.
