Sons of Mars II

Spanish order of attack

48 armies and 8 navies should already be in Greece.

24 armies will attack the ottomans via Istanbul, and advance into turkey, and fan out until finished. be sure to leave one army per province if possible.

the navies will transport 22 armies to Egypt, taking four provinces at first, and conquer anythign within reach, util finished. as usual, leave one army per province.

if reinforcements are possible from Spain or elsewhere, USE IT.

In 100% game terms, it just means they give you the cash, you research it at the super-discounted cost, and then give it back to them. Some countries charge for this service, but in the case of a war, NPCs generally do it for their allies for free.
Free of charge for all of our allies, then.

While the Spaniards considered attacking the Echidnas, that is now off the table - the Echidnas have teched to Army 25 and have tons of cash to recruit more armies left over. As such, the Turks shall get the short end of the stick and be victimised by Spanish arms.

Spain recruits 21 armies and all Hell breaks loose in Asia Minor.

That's 14 armies left...

8 armies left after 6 empty provinces are taken.

...suddenly, the Spanish get enough money from an anonymous backer to finish off the Turkish Black Sea.

Spain is left presiding over an empire of 52 provinces, a huge improvement from war's start. The Turks are left begging for assistance, in their shattered remnants...

Meanwhile, something doesn't feel right in the air.

Thank God you overrode my orders tanicius.

my nation is going to look...awkward now. and who supplied us with gold?

The NCR moves in to attack the large island of Hawaii

Army: 100
Civic: 50
Econ: 50

Was I suppose to have a level of 11?

Thank God you overrode my orders tanicius.

My pleasure.

A good question! With a very good answer to soon be revealed...

Was I suppose to have a level of 11?

Doing a quick review, your stats should be accurate.

===

Assuming the NCR doesn't wanna get butchered, I changed CivG's orders slightly to match Hawai'i's army tech of 14 so it's a fair battle apart from the amphibious penalty.

The rest was followed to the tee; my justification is that putting that extra cash in Civics or Econ wouldn't have any effect once the techs already in progress were complete.

10 Californian armies go against the 6 Hawai'ian. California has +1 due to being Militaristic.

No armies are lost, but one Hawai'ian island falls, removing Hawai'i's amphibious penalty.

Hawai'i's homeland is finished off.

The NCR moves to finish Hawai'i, which will boost it for the coming counterattack. 14 armies are recruited for an operation across the Pacific.

NCR conquers Hawai'i. 218 Army tech is gleaned, as is 108 Econ tech. This war was very profitable!

The sheep come to the slaughter... the whole of Hawai'i's allies following it into battle post-mortem: Kiwi, Java, and Tonga-Samoa. The NCR sends them a present.

NCR gets +6 to all rolls.

10-1!

The Californians seize just enough land to cover the costs of their enlarged army, meaning no maintenance costs!

The Kiwi are too weak to compete, and so keep their troops at home.

Likewise, Java fears the NCR, and so avoids combat...

They receive money from a wealthy anonymous donor as well to try and close the gap. Kiwi techs up to Army 14 with an offering of 173 gold. But who gave it?

Could we see the updated map, just out of interest? :)

All hail the Spanish Empire if the Catalan Company never lost Athens.

Cheers :)

The NCR celebrates it's victory in Hawaii in a splendid little war. The NCR bases each island with an army unit and transfers the remainder to the border between Kalmar and the NCR. The NCR also raises five army units to be spread across the border territories between Kalmar and the NCR.

(Yes TF, It's a two headed bear on the flag. It's from Fallout, what do you expect? :p)

hey tanicius am i still able to move some more troops or spend more money or is it all over?

Spain has maxed out its spending, as has NCR (which allowed it to take most of Tonga as well).

What the heck – let’s let Operation Steamroller commence.

South Africa Orders

Total Income: 955

Tech: Army 21 and 22 (215)

That leaves 740 Remaining.

Dedicate 255 towards conquering Kenya. I leave it up to the GM to best determine the mix of forces and invasion routes, but I want to try to take all territory in one turn.

Dedicate 255 towards conquering African Belgium. I leave it up to the GM to best determine the mix of forces and invasion routes, but I want to try to take all territory in one turn.

Dedicate 150 towards conquering Madagascar. I leave it up to the GM to best determine the mix of forces and invasion routes, but I want to try to take all territory in one turn.

Leave 80 in reserve.

So it's cool for everyone else to gobble up NPCs, but I can't?

The world is changing. It is time to act or risk becoming irrelevant. I for one do not want to become irrelevant.

I also don't want an NPC to win this game.

EDIT: In case you haven't noticed, I am one of the few powers left that are not NPC. If I sit by and let them get stronger without me getting stronger as well, then I will be at a serious disadvantage. I am not about to let that happen.

you have a good point, but you have the largest known economy. if you turtle up, you wont be at a disadvantage. everyone has to catch up to you.

The United Empire decides to eliminate European Albania and condemn them to Africa.

Expensive, but it will pay off due to the fact Albania's loaded with tech that the UE now gets a fair share of.

22 Albanian provinces.

2/22 - Salt Empire
4/22 - United Empire
6/22 - Austria
10/22 - Spain

50 Civics tech (5 to Saltines; 9 to United Empire; 14 to Austria; 22 to Spain)
275 Econ tech (25 to Saltines; 50 to United Empire; 75 to Austria; 125 to Spain)
540 Army tech (50 to Saltines; 99 to United Empire; 148 to Austria; 243 to Spain)

Salt is already at Tech 25 in economy, so it gets its 25 as TC.

wow. the economy and army bonus is impressive.

oh and we say this about the Albanian military: you sure know how to do last stands. took four armies to destroy one.

Seems Africa may unify quicker than expected!

Kenya is the centerpiece of the African Alliance, and if it falls...

Kenya techs up to Army 20 which leaves S. African with +2, and while it recruits several forces, can it stand against the might of S. Africa?

Time will tell, now won't it?

With 255 gold devoted to it, S. Africa can recruit as many as 51 armies to take out the 24 Kenya recruited.

Taking a break from Africa's shenanigans, something special.

The Mitre believes it is time for the theocracy to avenge the wrongs against the Echidna people by not only the Saltines, but the Turks.

Everywhere in Arabia, the Echidnas turn on their Turkish allies, exterminating them without a second thought for centuries of slavery.

The Turks are vaporised by Echidna arms. Slavia doesn't honor the call because it's old news; besides, what they could they do? Secondly, they kind of need Echidna aid in this war...

Echidnas rule 14 of 36 provinces, with Spain ruling the other 22.

88 civics tech; 326 Econ tech; 855 Army tech.

The Echidnas also reveal that it was in fact, they who backed the Spaniards with a secret grant. This way, they could weaken the northern front of the Turkish Empire, ensuring swift elimination.
