Sons of Mars II

see what I mean?

All the remaining humans should team up against the rising NPC menace.

well, i just have the echinda question. we may be equal now, both having army 25, but echinda can outspend me so much it's not funny.

they will either completely remove Spain from the war, or completely destroy the salt empire, maybe even both. making peace isn't an option, as i would be condemning my allies to a horrible loss.

so... i dunno what i can do.

how rude. you know, i decided to leave the Slavic union out of the Spanish sphere of influence. least you can do is be grateful.

So I should be grateful that you're only attacking my allies?

yeah. i mean, Austria and the kalmar union deserve praise too. i might help them out though. the Slavic union is too far north for my taste.

Centarium Orders

I feel the need to do something...so...

Centarium would like to declare war on the NPC in Australia

Use all giant stacks of armies I have in Australia to take over the continent. Move all ships near their islands to block off their island providences

An attack on Auralia is an attack on Srivijaya, Japan and Java!

Fortunately, a quick enough attack on Auralia will steal their tech and keep the allies from being too strong...

Battles are on a field of 1-20, with the Centaurians enjoying +2 to all rolls.

Auralia is beaten, and its tech is added to Centaurium's - 7 Civics, 165 Econ, 195 Army. They are beefed to Army 17, allowing a high quality training force to protect the now-unified Australian continent.

Centaurium summons fleets to deter its foes. These ships take up strategic positions, and as a result, Java faces economic collapse.

Now, the Pacific Allies ponder hitting back.

In the south, Java summons 4 fleets and sends them against Centaurium's, at a disadvantage of 4.

Success! The blockade on Java is ended. Meanwhile, Centaurium gets a 4% blockade from Srivijaya's forces. Of course, with 50 coastal provinces, it will take a LOT of troops to blockade all of the aggressive state.

Japan, at tech 16, decides to human wave the Centaurians in China, who enjoy +1 to all rolls.

The Japanese lose a fleet in the aftermath, removing their threat for the time being.

The Centaurian War Ministry knows the situation has grown dire... so it concocts a plan. Limited war won't work, and so, a more aggressive approach is needed. Java is rich in resources despite its small size...

20 13

It begins by taking an isolated Javanese island.

After that, all six troops around Indonesia are sent to Java proper, while battle will also be done with the local fleets!

6 5

WIth the Srivijayan fleet crushed, it's an all clear. Now, the +4 bonus Centaurium enjoys will hopefully pay off.

Great success!

20 19

While a bit time-consuming, a lone army is ferried over and crushes Java. 118 Econ is gained, as is 148 Army tech. This boost them to Army 19!

Now with an advantage, the real fun can begin. But first, yet more devious behavior by the Centaurian War Ministry.

They declare war on Tonga-Samoa! This means war with the Kiwi, but it is irrelevant as they lack a navy nor the prowess to be a real threat. Plus they're at war with California. The NCR and Centaurium now find themselves as friends in a war against the entire Pacific - both Pacific Allies merge into one.

19 19
20 7

Tonga-Samoa is crushed. 7 provinces. 2/7 - Centaurium, 5/7 - NCR. 109 Econ tech, 140 Army Tech.

With that quick, rapid venture paying dividends by enriching Centaurium's tech and income base, it is decided to use all spare armies to take vengeance, now that the Army tech is so high.

+3 against Srivijaya.

As the Centaurians have 64 coastal provinces, Japan takes 10/64 of their income away... but Centaurium also took two of their 34 coastal provinces, and 2 of Srivijaya's 36...

It is at this point, Enerjak offers a trade agreement to the rising star of Centaurium, which will give them a ton of funding for their war. Japan is outraged, but they dare not cancel the agreement because of all the riches it brings.

Enerjak furthermore, beefs up Centaurium's army by 33 points. Knuckles knows all about fighting prowess!

South Africa vs. Belgium

While Enerjak attempts to secure friends in the Far East, Centaurium goes on a rampage, the Europeans tear eachother apart, and Florida moves on Mexico, South Africa, one of the biggest players, is attempting African unification.

255 gold is budgeted towards this campaign. To compensate, Liberia has started raising regiments for its allies at 80% the cost.

S. Africa enjoys +4 on the Belgians.

The African War Ministry evaluates why the mission in Kenya, while successful, was hardly as wonderful as expected. Ah yes... a lack of airforces. On a battlefield of 1-25, there's a 20% chance of winning by default, but so many variables... mainly destroyed armies, can come into play. So, it is decided to raise 10 airforces, and if they show promise, to use this against Belgium.

3 enemy armies are destroyed, though at least with failure, the air forces remain in play.

That strategy, however, has a bonus - it breaks through the massively-guarded border and exposes the soft underbelly that is the inner Congo!

With one territory easily taken, the S. African Empire stocks up on troops. 205 gold is used to raise 41 armies!

S. Africa has conquered every province besides the capital and those heavily-fortified border provinces thanks to the War Ministry's suggestion.

However, the government is concerned about stability issues. Several senior cabinet members suggest shelving the plans for conquering Madagascar until a later date; the Empire is in serious need of an expansion of government power and services to administrate so much territory. (i.e. invest in Civics instead of invading Madagascar?)

Enerjak offers a trade agreement to S. Africa.

Echidna Empire

The Saltines are a bit overwhelmed in terms of quality, but fortunately, the Echidna bonus is only +3.

With Liberia's aid, they recruit 6 armies.

However, the Echidnas have watched the strategy employed by the South Africans, and with their 73 gold, make use of it. They trade their 45 TC to the Island Confederacy for 40 gold.

Of course, he uses some of Egypt's armies for defense.

7 5
19 12

He stops while he's ahead.

No regrets, right Spain?

With the Spanish forces neutralised for the turn, it's decided to whomp them. While the Mitre had considered trying to make peace with the Spaniards, they have made it clear they do not desire peace. So, uttering Enerjak's infamous catchphrase of "Haahaa yes bring it on!" he goes against them.

11 8

Oh heck yeah. Spain loses one province.

Belgium, meanwhile, finds its homeland taken over by the United Empire as a measure to "safeguard the continuation of Belgian culture." Given its lack of formal alliance with the rest of Africa... it was a well-placed move.

Knux_enerjak.jpg

Enerjak tries to trade with the Echidna Empire but is rejected by a blue-clad impostor! At least the Empire has maintained his name as divine in his millennia of absence...

And the current map is? I still need to know what Austria is going to do and I can't do that without an updated map. :)

As you requested :p

(i.e. invest in Civics instead of invading Madagascar?)

Enerjak offers a trade agreement to S. Africa.

Yes, let’s invest in Civics with the invasion money for Madagascar. They can wait until later.

Keep the reserve though until Madagascar and other potential threats have spent all their resources. If possible, throw that money into Civics as well after we are safe for this turn.

South Africa reiterates the offer previously extended to Madagascar: Join us without a fight and we will spare your lives. Your allies in the region are not able to help you.

South Africa accepts the trade agreement with Enerjak.

President Matthew Barabas: the Spanish Ministry of War has concluded that the war is hopeless in the long term. Echinda and the Olafic Republic is just too powerful now.

what should Spain, Austria, and the Kalmar Union do now? personally, i prefer to quit while we are ahead. but i cant do that unless two other aforementioned nations agree.
