When I crop an image, it doesn't automatically resize. When I resize an image it's called scaling.

Well, it has certainly been an interesting week; a general election, a new wave of liberalism and the military is finally loosening its grip on the nation. The Republic really changing and this is truly an exciting time to be a Brony.

Firstly the results of the general election are in with the status quo of the Militant Party’s long reign finally over, its dropped from 87 seats to 43 while the People’s Revolutionary Party won 64 seats; 24 more than its strength last year of 40 seats. The Celestial Origins party has also gained its first seat on parliament since its fall following the Civil War. However none of these results were great enough for any party to gain a large enough majority to rule on its own. Thus a coalition government has been formed between the People’s Revolutionary parts and the Discordant Faction which puts them above the 70 seats needed for a majority.

So, what does this mean for the normal Bronies and Fillies like us? Well, our new Gran Secratariat is the Great and Powerful Trixie from the People’s Revolutionary Party. She known for being quite radical in her liberal and left wing policies and we can be sure to expect further nationalisation of the few remaining private industries and laws governing our everyday lives are expected to become laxer affording us more civil and political rights. It is also sees the less known Discordant faction coming into power for the first time since long before Launa’s banishment. Although there is no evidence to suggest it many ponies believe that this group may have leanings towards the Discord group of international terrorists. It is yet unknown what this could mean in the long run.

The military reaction has so far been passive and there is no evidence of Luna wanting to reconsolidate her power through military action. However it may be too early to say but I truly hope that we are responsible enough to keep ourselves out of trouble and that the transition to democracy may finally be complete.

Talks are beginning tomorrow between Luna and Trixie in regards to the deteriorating order of the world.
