Sons of Mars III - Trollish Echidnas Not Included

-Since Japan claimed after Siberia, I've shifted Japan's claims somewhat; they're all still in Asia, but that section of the Pacific Coast was almost entirely claimed by Siberia first.

-Forts and capital added for Demon Realm.

Stinking Byzantium and Greece

Persia has formally requested you withdraw your claims to the Caucasus, or face war.

Practical considerations:

Due to the rules not specifying otherwise, both nations keep the claims/armies they have gotten this turn. Both will be evenly matched at 37 armies across 35 provinces. Persia has 16 gold in its vault, which will likely be used to recruit more troops.

A fort has been strategically placed at the entrance to Turkey, which will make Persia's battle uphill at first.

Both armies are of the same quality, so Greece has a slight advantage in that it will win any ties. Otherwise, it's 40 against 37 and could easily swing either way.

Will the sons of Alexander and sons of Xerxes clash?!

Short awnser: No

Long Awnser: Ipsum Inferno, No

I'm siding with my Roman neighbor, nein.

Alright, have fun sorting it out yourselves. Just don't attack Lichtenstein, m'kay?

Isn't Persia a PC?

Yes, they are, but I was just making that known in case you missed it. :p

Oh. Yeah, I did.

I'm up for a good border skirmish, bring it on! :aargh:

edit: Or if you like ugly borders, we could go with an alternative.

So this "India" your talking about...do you mean Tibet, Gangia, or the Demon Realm? :D

I assumed Demon Realm, so I arranged a trade agreement between you two, unless either party intends to cancel.

As a note - if there's no response to a trade offer, I treat it as if i twas accepted. This way, more or less everyone gets trade partners, so no one's left behind.

Oh. Yeah, I did.

Very well then!

This war is registered as a war of aggression, so Persia's instability raises by 1. The rally around the effect resets Greek to 0.

The Greeks cheer their troops on with speeches pertaining to the many triumphs Greece has had over eastern tyrants in the past, culminating with Alexander's epic conquest, whereas the Persians talk of how they once built a great empire that extended into much of Greece, only luck on the Greeks' part and stupidity on the Emperor's having enabled the turnabout.

But that was the past! Tonight, we battle-karaoke!

The Greeks seem to show no real intent in conquest, so much as keeping what they have. The Persians, likewise, seem more interested in the Caucasus than anything else... a wise choice, given that the international community likely wouldn't tolerate a huge Persian Empire.

The Persians have raised 26 armies for their offensive. 14 armies will be ready to protect whatever's left.

The goal is to claim the territories that are deemed rightfully Persian - the Caucasus - and hope the Greeks will see reason.

3 provinces line the Caucasus.

It's a bloody, brutal battle, but each side has the same losses. The Greeks lose 3 armies, as do the Persians. Greece will lose 1 Industry if it loses 2 more.

However, Persia's offensive stops there - a wall of fortifications and barriers guards eastern Anatolia, and Persia MUST pass through it to continue. To make matters worse, Macedonia has 21 units present, ready to fight against their 23. Both groups bunker down.

The Greco-Macedonian War has concluded its first phase, with Persia gaining the territories it desired... but will Greece let them go so easily?

Already there is a war going on (No I am not going to say it with the German W TFox :p) between the Greeks and the Persians. :run:

Alright, have fun sorting it out yourselves. Just don't attack Lichtenstein, m'kay?

Well, as you looked in our claims for Austria. Vienna is left unscathed (is that the right word?) and actually open trade with them. The same is going to be for Lichtenstein in the event the German Republic borders touches or envelopes them

(OOC: Damn you TFox and your NPC fetish!! )

The Persian army sits at the borderline as it fortifies the entire border. Now that the border dispute is over, Persia is willing to go to a state of cease fire unless the Macedonians truly want those lands back. If they do, redouble the speed of the construction of the fortifications((Not forts, just trenches and whatnot))

Jerusalem's armies are to be sure any fighting between Byzantium and Persia does not enter the Kingdom's lands.

One of three things can happen here:

1) Tanny undoes the fighting because, AFAIK, he jumped the gun, and we can agree to the division (or we can just agree to the division)
2) You keep the land but reimburse me for my armies
3) WOR!!!

Okie.

The Kingdom of Persia ensures that the war will not enter the lands of Jerusalem.

This IOT political toon I've created sums up my reaction to the Greco-Macedonian War...

All income into armies. Also can anyone tell me about the Greco-Macedonian War? ( I sent half of my army to support greece)

Long story short - Greece claimed the Caucasus and eastern Turkey.

Persia considers the Caucasus to be its rightful territory, and asked for Greece to leave or face war.

Greece didn't back down; war erupted.

Currently, each army is bunkered down - the Persians in the occupied Caucasus and the Greeks in Anatolia. Neither can really afford to move against the other.

France sents half of its army to support greece. We will always support the european powers in their wars against the asian barbarians.
