Sorceress, 4 different unit effects with teamcolor skin. Art from Atlantica Online Dark Dancer unit; uses CiV Scout animations with custom effects: flame, missile, ray, and burst. Custom female sounds replace existing CiV scout vox sounds.

Nice, nice Nomad! Is there any chance of a light-skinned reskin? If not I could do it.:)

There are actually 4 skins for this but the model is slightly different for each one. Should be an easy copy/paste from one of the other skins. Not sure if that would be faster than modifying hue/saturation/contrast of the original skin or not.

Nice! Did the sounds randomize all right ingame?

They weren't too bad, but could probably be perfected a bit. I am just happy that they worked the first time! Usually with modeling that is never the case - maybe I should get into doing sounds instead and save myself a lot of trouble

Hello everybody,

i have created 2 new skinns for my new Civilisation "Highborn from Warcraft"

Here you can see the Model with the skin.

Bloodelf Mage

Orcin Mage

Here you can download the files for your own mods.

Question: if you have a .mesh file of a 3d model, is it possible to create a unit from that?

(I ask because I have a few .mesh files of mages from Dragon Age that are in fact fully-clothed)

Yes, if you have the mesh and the texture files (usually .dds). To import .mesh files into Blender you will need a conversion script like Ogre. You will get the mesh but no animations so you will need to rig it to an existing CiV unit skeleton (this sorceress uses the CiV Scout).

I am trying to install these into a larger mod but I am having trouble getting the sound to work.

I pretty much copy pasted everything but added a unique portrait and flag. The Unit works, it can attack and fight but the sound is broken. The sound file names are all in the .modinfo but they don't load.

Do you have any pointers? This is my first time adding sound to a mod.

Thanks.

Apart from, "Reload Audio System" checkbox being enabled in the modinfo file, I don't really know.
