The third spore patch has come out, with some minor bug fixes and 24 new parts! These include 12 new legs and 12 new arms. Full information can be found here.
Brief experimentation confirms that you cannot combine endo and exoskeletal limb segments together in a single limb- but the new parts are awesome nonetheless. If only they did the same for the parts pack they're charging for.
Giving things for free and selling some of the same at the same time. It just reinforces my feeling that I shouldn't be paying for this ******** expansion.

Yeah, as I suspected new creatures etc have hit sporepedia unless you have the " creepy cute "expansion you cannot inspect or download them!
Making Spore segregated to those that have and those that haven't.
Sly of Maxi$.
To think of it more positively, the people who don't buy it are those who are committed to not supporting this disgusting expansion policy, so we're in good company.
Before Spore came out, I was concerned that EA's desire to "monetize" the game through never-ending expansions (that term is a bit generous given how little game-changing content you get) would end up fragmenting the Sporepedia, arguably the best part of the game. Imagine how jumbled it'll get once four or five expansions have been released.
So I get 24 parts for free in this update, but pay £10.00 for 60 parts? In the next patch will there be another 24 parts? I'll have received 48 parts for free then...
