SSNES: Fall of Wu'di

NEW UU:Rebd Mongrols

Yes I spelt that right. Replacing heavy cavalry, these are well trained knights in black plate armour and with 2 swords. Pwnage

--------The messenger krept into the dungeon. "the knights are ready." " how about the smithees, do they have trouble welding the metal we found in the northern marshes?"I asked him "No sire, they manage quite well. They had a bit of difficulty at first, but they are adapting and have equipment on the way for when you are ready to recruit more.", he replied, seeming quite certain of what he was saying. "Very well, show me them ineadiatly."i said. "they are currently in their training sesion, but I dought they will mind being interupted by someone with such experiance in the matter of war as you. After you succesffuly led thel rebelion capain, defending against the armies of Fa'el itself with punily armed infantry, even such forces as them look up to you." he spoke, and such a speech gave me a certain nostalgia. "Very well, Ill be on my" I finished "third door on the right, past the pantry" he reminded me. Though I did not need the reminder, I have trained there before, coached by the best horsemen in all of Lochia.
--------As I entered the training room, I glimpsed at the finestly armoured and weaponed horsemen I had ever seen. " Here I am" I said "the leader of the nation of Lochia. And you are here, the finest cavalry the world will ever see. Truly this is good moment in the history of our land" And, with that, they let out an accursed, screachy, defening yell of triumph. I went over to the trainer and said "I have an Idea. Make that their war cry." "Yes Sir!" he replied

@SS, in that case,Fine :)

That would indeed be pwnage, but I'm not letting you do that just yet.

First of all, you can't just make up that kinda UU without a proper story. The Adepts are not actually meant for horseback riding. All the shaking and hoof noise really messes up spellcasting. And the units would be much more expensive, prolly 5 per eco, and I don't think that's a good way to spend your money. Generally, bunching Adepts and Heavy Infantry/Cavalry is 1. sickly expensive and 2. going to be a great loss per casualty.

You CAN go on with your UU despite this, but I would require a story describing how the UU was developed. If not, I suggest you tone the pwnage down to make it more realistic and efficient. Try bumping down your UU to only be mounted Adepts or Heavy Cavalry with minor magic traits. That doesn't even require a story, although I would prolly give you a bonus if you wrote one. ;)

In that case, it should be Adept riders. I.e. they are trained in spellcasting while on horseback. I won't allow double-backing on a single horse with a soldier swinging his sword or flail and galopping into the batllefield. That is just insane. :p

Mee, I am horrendously exhausted after the exhibition I mentioned elsewhere, so I won't bother joining now. Just one question: Since there is Moonwater.. Will there be Silverydeep?

BTW, kewl to see you managed to edit the colours for mountains.

@SB: I want your story well done. :p

@Azash: that's quite all right. Will you be lurking, at least? :)

New UU: Bowmen of the Wind: these Bowmen use the powers of Air Magic to direct their arrows to their targets, making them highly accurate and effective. They replace normal Bowmen.

Orders sent.

Hail, fellow fighters against oppression! We propose an NAP and alliance to survive in this hostile world.

I've got half of the orders already. If everybody sends in, I might be able to do the update earlier. :)

The Gardens of the Moon is a beautyful city located near the river. The high wall surrounding the city reflects the sunlight giving it a golden shine, hence the nickname the golden city. As you come closer to the city, the skyline is dominated by tall spires and domed palaces. The sturdy arched gate is tall enough to ride through and wide enough for five men on horseback. The main street is a straight line ending in the beautyful gardens in the center of the city. There are four main streets going south, north, west and east from the gardens.

Today all the residents of the city is out in the streets and in the beatyful gardens in the central square. This is the Day of Indepence. Shaba has been independent from Fa'el for three years. This annual celebration lasts a tenday, and the great Feast of Independence is held the last day. This is that day, it is filled with music, dancing, laughter, friendship and good food. During this last week there has been more marriges than throughout the last year. It is like this every year. People want to be married under the Sign of Freedom and Liberty.

Good story, although a bit short. And Shaba as a nation has only been "on the map" for about half a year. But I can agree on that the city may claimed its independence before that.

EDIT: I only lack the orders from RemThe. I have started on the update, since whatever he does does not affect the rest of you.

I've added the "unclaimed" Academies to the Empire's stats. They will also appear on the map as capitals, and they do indeed act as regional capitals. Needless to say, it is a great boon to capture one of these, but expect heavy resistance. Also, note that project now only cost eco points. You can spend as much as you want per turn, but only one project can be under construction at any given time.

@SB: Are your knights Adept horsemen, or Heavy Cavalry beefed up with magic?

From: Shaba

Hi noble fighter of Jaid. I realise that our two nations are fighting the same war against the corrupted opressor Fa'el. Therfore I propose a NAP and an alliance between our two nations on the basis of our common enemy.

I know it is short, I will write a new one or edit this one but right now I don't have the time. I have to prepare for a test on that ****** book for tomorrow. Fork. Argh. Glad you liked it by the way

The old Fa'el and their false rule over us has just been broken and we have the need of friends. Jaid has sent us that. Your proposed alliance between the Jaid'Almain and your newly formed nation are acceptable. By Jaid is the bond between our nations forged

Yes he has sent the orders. I'm working on the update now, but I won't finish it before tomorrow. Patience. ;)

Surrounding the golden city is well developed farmland. Agriculture has been the main factor of this land for generations. Generation upon generation of men has farmed this land. The farms passed down from father to son. Well developed watersystems provide water from the river to reach even the furthes fields. Waterbuffaloes with one or two farmers plowing the earth is a common sight. Corn and cornproducts is the main export article. Dotting the landscape is small farmhouses and manor houses of the lesser nobles not living in the city. Efficient roads makes up the infrastructure making the transport of grain, turnips and other vegetables easy. With even intervals there is mills, grinding the grain into floor to then use it in the production of bread and pastry.
