As there been any progress at all on the versions with updated graphics? It's still a little weird to see the basic Klingon ships looking like Negh'var dreadnoughts :p

And if such a update is already up, where can it be downloaded? :blush:
 
I will not be working on this version of the mod anymore. The new mod can be found in the first two links of my signature.
No new downloads available yet...
 
So what version of the game is this for? What are the installation instructions for the game, encyclopedia, maps, and graphics?
 
This mod is for Conquests. Just put the large download in the "Scenarios" folder and replace the two txt files with the ones in the first post and you're set to go... ;)

Quite honestly I don't remember. But if you open the biq-file in the editor you can see... ;)
We are working on a new version of the ST mod at the moment... :)

Although I have to say, you did not do the part that I would have had the most fun with - writing descriptions. Well, I am a different kind of geek I guess. :D

EDIT: Another quick question: Is it intentional that all dominion units have one health bar less than those of other nations?

Yup, really... ;)

Once we get started again with the follow-up of this mod (working on the Fallout mod atm), we'll be needing lots of Trekky geeks to help with the pedia... :)
 
Excellent mod, however, you seem to have the resource overflow bug problem. Specifically, the Vulcans and Andorans can build the Colonization Program.
 
I never noticed this. Some of the minor races have the Alien Homeworld wonder that produces as colonist every 20 turns in stead of every 5 turns. Maybe that is what you saw?
 
A question Flamand, how much work is left on the new version? Do you have a solid team of people working on it? I visited your World of the Gunnery forum and saw how long it has been since an update happened, there are no downloads yet, and I really don't want to see this die. My favorite mod ever for any game was the excellent (and even more rare) Star Trek mod for Civ2. It was beautiful, and had full civilopedia entries for all the geeks. I've never modded for Civ3 yet, but it seems relatively similar to Civ2. I'm pretty well versed in graphic design and more than a novice with programming (still struggle with C, but that doesn't seem to be an issue with modding this game). Anyway, I NEED to see that this project gets to full completion. It's so terrible that there haven't been any good Trek games since the old 2D adventure ones from Interplay in the early and mid 90s. Modding already great games seems to me as the real trek gaming. Even if not that many people download it, I'll have tons of fun with it. Anyway, just hoping this isn't dead due to Civ4. I haven't learned Python yet, and am pretty much just beginning working with 3D Studio Max for meshes, don't even know if that would work with Civ4. Anyway, excellent work.
 
Thanks for your comments. The mod is not dead, just dormant at the moment since I am also working on the Fallout mod.
We could always use someone to help us with animating units and all our models are in 3ds Max (since that is what I use) once we get started again... (soon I hope).
