Ok..... i've missed alot...
City names: wouldn't work. the scale of the general mod is too vast for each planet's cities to be involved. the idea of planets is that once the mod is finished, there will be a map included - of the galaxy. One square would represent each planet, or about 5 or 8 squares - always ensuring that each civ city has access to sea (space). So are you proposing we stick 5 or so cities per each planet? Going by a rough estimation, we could fit 20 or so planets on - tatooine, naboo, coruscant, geonosis, mustafar, kamino, alderaan, mon calamari, kashyyk, bespin, hoth, sullust, endor, and 7 EU planets... that isn't really enough to represent the vast star wars universe, tbh.
For each scenario, eg battle of hoth, important names will be given, such as echo base, or for battle of endor, shield generator complex..... stuff like that.
Those cities are alright.... but aren't we using planets for cities? hmm...
For cities on the galactic map, if we use planets as terrain, so say one square is a planet, and then there is space all round it - so the square is given the graphics of a planet. cities could be circles, so for town a small circle, city, bigger circle, and metropolis circle that covers entire planet...
Simple, but it works...
