Starcraft and Warcraft MOD sign up.

Well its dead the warcraft thing can just someone give me what they done or you done about this warcraft mod i want to try developing it, i now a lot about warcraft;).
 
I meant like mod: asset, art, map of azeroth(disinclude outland or you can just put them), ai. If it wheter finished or not finished its not a problem. Put them like download link so i can download them.

If you are serious, well... all those mods would need a lot of new graphics and sdk work, which are the bottle necks. So, dont expect anything, if you cant do it yourself ;)
 
Hello all i am going to start the warcraft mod for civ4. I am not really an experienced mod creator and not really experienced in this web but the construction have begun(i copy and paste alot though ):P. The map started at the third war instead of fromt the very beginning because Wc1-3 and WOW cities and town are not located accurately and i really want to make things bit more historical too.:)

As I am not really the best at modding I will pass on that, but I would be glad to help on the lore and ideas for civics, factions, special features and so on. But that's more out of interest.

EDIT; So that is why this thread seemed familiar. I have posted here before. Oh dear - my spelling back then. :lol:

I would not give Jaina Night Elven archers. Night Elves are xenophobic and has been for 10.000 years. I would also remove the hyppogryth rider. Give her some high elves and dwarves instead as that is more in line with the lore. Dwarves ride for example gryphons (Wildhammer) in the sky and are fairly legendary for that. Keep the Night Elves for their own faction.

Gyrocopter should also not be a part of Kul Tiras as it is a Gnomish and Dwarven invention. Else it looks fairly good.

Add a mage unit (function as support - see FFH for an example on that)
Add a paladin unit (function as a hero)
Add a priest unit (function as a medic)
Change musketman to 'rifleman' - WoW do have rifles, although primitive.
Add ballistae unit (function as a cheap versatile siege weapon)
Add cannon unit (function as an expensive and slow siege weapon - but powerful) for those who don't have it.
For naval units frigates and galleons can be used.
Add a footman unit (Versatile melee unit, strong against ranged)

That is all I can think of for now. Thought I would just give some input.

I think the eras should be:

The First War (first invasion of the Horde through the Dark Portal)
The Second War (when the Elves, Dwarves and Gnomes team up with the Humans and the Trolls, Ogres and Goblins team up with the Orcs)
The Third War (coming of the Burning Legion and the Undead Scourge)
The Present (World of Warcraft-time)

Because Mongolia is in Asia it does not mean they have elephants. Theramore is a state driven by mainly fishing and oversea trade (Plus the fact it is the main human bastion in Kalimdor). It is located in a swamp without any hippogryphs for miles - in fact they are a whole three zones away which is hundreds of miles.

As for air units - for all the human states I propose a human using a gryphon.

They already got a good deal of difference.

Kul Tiras is a seafaring nation which should be a bit of a resemblance to England. Minus the imperialism. They are very driven on their navy.
Dalaran is a nation of mages. Their military consists almost only of mages. They resemble a usual snide city-state look.
Stromgarde is without a doubt the human kingdom with the best trained infantry and specialize in destroying trolls. They can be compared to the Roman legions.
Lordaeron is the largest and most powerful human kingdom. Their military is religious and so is their state. They are zealous and protect humanity fiercely.
Gilneas is an isolationist country. They prefer to be by themselves as they are strong enough like that. A bit french in them.
Stormwind is a kingdom with a very powerful cavalry. They are quite imperialistic.
Alterac is also very imperialistic, but with the fact they are the weakest of all the human nations. They are a small bulldog among great wolves. They cannot do much but bark and with a corrupt king it can only go wrong.
Theramore is as I said earlier a fishing nation, they resemble USA a bit in the manner that they are immigrants from all nations - even dwarven and elven. They have excellent foreign relations due to Jaina's diplomatic abilities.

I hope that helped a bit. It might be good to style Gilneas a bit like Denmark, I suppose our middle-age appearance was a bit 'Screw you we're superior' while we really were not.
