Starcraft?

I loves it, but I don't even have Brood War :(

You wanna piece of me boy?

"Ready to roll-out!"

Lol, do you play on B.net? I'm nc-1701d

I play B.net, I'm in a mapmaking and testing clan, their name/channel is op activision. (Got kicked out SEVERAL times because I quit during a few games)
Type in hy1-pass:1/hy2-pass: 2/hy3-pass:3 for their games. That is, if they're on.

I'll kick yo ass in Lazer Tag...

Ah yes Starcraft.. haven't played it in a while ,but I still get a bit confused over the storyline. Stupid Terrans using antiques like 6-shooter magnums and LP players... what year is it set in!?
Well the 6 shooter isn't an antique, as it's quite effective, and effective for that officer to kill himself with, but I won't say who because I dunno who it was that shot himself in that cutscene...

Oh, anyway, I think I like the Terrans a lot. Balanced and close to human.... but then again, Protoss have shields, but they can't heal.... but they do have the Dark Archon which can mind control stuff... hmmm... GAH! I can't think!

Now one thing I didn't like in Starcraft was that a Science Vessel would be huge (as in one of the levels you had to explore one) but on the map they're quite small, and then the Vulture is a huge-assed hoverbike (like Warcraft 2's knights, but the guy riding it is smaller than a Footman). Then the Battlecruiser which is mean't to be a huge warship is no bigger than a dropship.... I dunno, the scales don't seem right for the game...

Still I like the Terrans. Balance is good. Cheap soldiers and not too hard to get an army built, unlike Protoss where it's expensive and takes forever to build and you get Zerg rushed...
Back to seriousness, I like how the Ghost can call in a nuclear strike. Plant nuke, run away! Of course he might get shot, but that's a casualty...
Siege Tanks are good. They can attack from long range and makes an effective artillery, unlike the Zerg Guardian...
Nothing like Arbiters mixed with a Carrier fleet cloaked in the field to make your foe say "Oh crap" before they get wiped out...

 if the ships were as big as they are too scale a battlecruiser would equal the whole map :crazyeye:

also im a protoss player. its really easy to avoid a zergling rush. just get a shield generator and some photon cannons and you survive. the protoss dont heal? i would say not. their shields heal. this can be a bit of a problem when ACTUAL health goes down but oh well.

I'm completely through with that game, I've played the campaings so much that a mere sight of the game makes me feel quesy. It gets boring after you learn to beat all the original maps with clockwork precision.

That's why you download/create new ones :p

I do play occasionally but not on Bnet. The reason I still play is because of this map I made. I don't know exactly what it is, but contrary to all the original maps (and other downloaded I have tried) the computer players are actually competetive on it. Even on a free-for-all setting when you get past the first rush, you can't always be completely sure to win as you are with most other maps.

I sometimes play cooperative with a friend vs. 6 AI's and we do lose as often as we win. In one particular game I remember we started close to eachother and had a combined defense at his base of about ten bunkers of marines in a row north-south (and scv's to repair of course) and some 25 tanks. This game was set to 6 Zerg AI's and they broke through this point killing everything with predominately ground forces. ZERG ground forces. They can be brutal on this map...

Fortunately we had a combined fleet of 24 Battlecruisers in his base waiting for an oppertunity to attack (on a normal map one fleet of BC's are usually enough to win with a few repairs, NOT so on this map) and we were able to eventually rebuild the defenses and win that game with slightly over 6000 kills combined. This type of epic battles is what keeps me playing from time to time.

I first made this map with the original map Continental Divide as inspiration although the constant changes over the years in the ever ongoing process of balancing it makes it hard to see anymore. I have had much fun on this map and I guess I have to give you a chance to try it since I have praised it so much.

While the AI doesn't give such a spectacular performance every single game, they are at least twice as tough as any other map I have tried and if you have only played standard maps I promise the AI will from time to time do things that surprise you. I would especially recommend trying 2 players vs. 6 AI's. Fun, fun, fun. If you survive.

Im good w/ Terran At fastest, I just need someone to wathc my back in begining and cover me from Toss =]

"We do intend to announce a new product at the Worldwide Invitational next month in Korea, and we appreciate the enthusiasm and interest in getting an advance look at what that will be, but players will have to wait until May 19th to find out more. Also, we have a very strong connection with the characters and settings of StarCraft, and we do plan to revisit that universe at some point in the future, but we don't have anything new to announce in that regard at present."

Speakin of Korea, my friend once found a TV station that shows Starcraft non-stop in Korea
